Forward Hailey Block was named the 2019 Ohio Valley Conference Women's Soccer Freshman of the Year. Block became the fourth SEMO player to earn the honor joining Ashley Runion (2007), Erin Shulman (2011) and Kindra Lierz (2014). She also earned All-OVC Second-Team and OVC All-Newcomer Team honors. Block registered seven goals in conference play during her rookie campaign. She totaled 32 shots over 16 games and scored a team-high five game-winning goals. In conference play, she was second in the OVC with 0.600 goals per game. Block also led the league with four game-winning goals during the conference slate. Block netted a penalty kick in Southeast's OVC Tournament Semifinals game against #4 SIUE on Friday. She also had three shots in the loss including one on goal.
