Southeast Missouri junior libero Jade Mortimer was named the adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Sept. 7. Mortimer recorded 59 digs (4.92 dps) to lead Southeast to a 2-1 record at the Gardner-Webb Tournament (Sept. 4-5). She opened the tournament with 15 digs against tournament host Gardner-Webb Friday. Mortimer followed with 23 digs against USC Upstate and added 21 more vs. The Citadel.
