Alexis Brawner put together an exceptional meet at the Midwest Independent Conference Championship last Saturday. She recorded a 9.700 or better on all four events, and won the vault and all-around titles. Brawner earned first team all-conference honors on vault, bars, and all-around, while garnering second-team on beam. Brawner collected a 9.900 on vault, marking her first score of 9.900 or better on the event. Her 39.225 in the all-around tied a career-high, giving her the title by .15 over UIC’s Mikailla Northern. Brawner’s weekend ensured a trip to an NCAA Regional on April 1.Â
