At Texas A&M, Piersall had many roles with his main focus developing and implementing the skill program for the football team. He coached and designed programs for multiple NFL draft picks, including Edgerrin Cooper ( 2nd-round pick) McKinnley Jackson( 3rd-round pick)  De’Von Achane ( 3rd-round pick), Layden Robinson ( 4th-round pick)  Antonio Johnson ( 5th-round pick) and Ainias Smith ( 5th- round pick). He was responsible for all aspects of the team’s elite form velocity-based training system, creating daily and yearly programs while utilizing various technology. Before ULM, Piersall was the Director of Sports Performance at the University of Tennessee at Martin. He designed and implemented programs for the football and baseball teams. Due to COVID and the cancellation of the football season, Piersall was able to take the year and develop several athletes, including Colton Dowell who went on to be 13th player in program history to be drafted when he was selected in the seventh round by the Tennessee Titans.

In 2018-19, Piersall was an assistant strength coach at Texas A&M working directly under the tutelage of Jerry Schmidt. Texas A&M won back-to-back bowl games and Piersall helped train 17 NFL draft picks with the highest being Kenyon Green (No. 15 overal)

In 2017 Piersall was an assistant strength coach at Florida State where he held many duties. He worked with many all-conference and NFL draft picks and was able to help train and design programs for future NFL players such as Derwin James ( 1st Round ) and Cam Akers (2nd Round).

The year before that, Piersall got his start working under Tommy Moffitt at Louisiana State University. As an intern at LSU, he worked primarily with football and baseball.

Born in Greenville, South Carolina, Piersall is a graduate of Tennessee Tech University and is  married to the former Victoria Pederson whose father played tight end at ULM, and whose Uncle Doug is the head coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
