Biography

Season Outlook: Will be the defensive leader on the floor as she returns to her familliar libero position. Will be one of three seniors on the team. Her ball control will be instrumental to the success of the team.

At Southeast

2002: Led the team in digs as she had the third highest dig total in team history ... was fourth in the OVC in digs per game with a 4.30 mark ... had a career-high 29 digs at Morehead State (10.25.02) ... had 26 matches with double figure dig totals.

2001: Another solid season led to 2.53 digs per game and 266 digs total. Played in all 104 games, the most on the team, and had 79 kills on the season. Also had two double-doubles on the season in back-to-back contests against Murray State (10.20.01), and Austin Peay (10.23.01). Had 15 kills and 15 digs against Murray, and 12 kills and a season-high 20 digs against Peay. Also had 20 digs against Tennessee Tech (10.12.01).

2000: A solid contributor from the back row, she was the only Otahk to play in all 108 games...finished fourth on the team with 2.44 digs per game...allowed for only two ball handling errors all season...set a season-high of 22 digs vs. Texas-El Paso (9.9.00), a match that lasted a program record two hours and 31 minutes...notched three service aces three different times, vs. Tech, Southern Illinois and Tennessee-Martin...primarily a back row player, she took advantage of her front row position against Tennessee State (11.11.00) to notch six attempts...broke that mark at the NCAA tournament with 11 attempts and three kills against UNC.

Prep Career: A 2000 graduate of Belleville-Althoff Catholic High School in Belleville, Illinois...teammate of Emily Scannell at Belleville Althoff...named Belleville Althoff Female Athlete of the Year in 2000...selected first team All-State by News Gazette...All-Metro selection by St. Louis Post Dispatch...All-Tournament team selection in 1999 Illinois state tournament...first team All-Area in Illinois class AA by Belleville News Democrat...also played softball...member of National Honor Society...U.S. Army Scholar Athlete Award in 2000.

Gundlach Superlatives: Born 11.15.81...daughter of Greg and Linda Gundlach...a business major at Southeast...lists shopping as her favorite hobby...also recruited by Washington University, Southwestern Illinois College, Truman State and Earlham...An OVC Medal of Honor winner...lists her parents as her biggest influence.
