Biography
Season Outlook: Will be a key role in the offense as a starter on the right side. Will be a threat for the offense and help form one of the top front rows in the OVC.
At Southeast
2001: Helped solidify the front line in averaging 3.10 kills per game with 316 on the season, both second on the team to Carlile. had the team's top hitting percentage in .263 and was a top defender leading the team in digs with 322 and an average of 3.16 per game. Had 12 double-doubles in the year, twice surpassing the 20 dig mark against Drake and Austin Peay as she netted 28 digs versus Peay. Had 20 or more kills three times in the season.
2000: Named OVC Offensive Player of the Week (10.23.00) after stacking up 14 block assists in contests vs. Tennessee-Martin and Murray State, including eight against the Racers...hit a career best and team season-high .818 (9k, 0e, 11a) vs. Murray (9.17.00)...a week later she notched a .636 vs. Southern Illinois (9.27.00) on eight kills and one error over 11attempts...hit an even .500 in the NCAA Tournament win over UNC with eight kills and no errors in 16 attempts...finished second on the team with .75 blocks per game.
1999: Named to the OVC All-Newcomer team...played in 61 games as a true freshman...hit a season-high .538 vs. Middle Tennessee (10.22.99)...notched 106 kills, 105 digs, three solo blocks and 24 block assists over 61 games...a key defensive player down the stretch as Southeast claimed its second consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament.
Prep Career: A graduate of Mater Dei in Breese, Ill...named the Belleville News Democrat Player of the Year and the to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch first team All-Area her senior season...selected the team[apos]s Offensive Player of the Year...also played basketball...named to the [quote]Who[apos]s Who Among American High School Students[quote] list...cited for her numerous mathematic accomplishments...member of the National Honor Society.
