Kindra Lierz

Kindra Lierz joined the Southeast Missouri Women's Soccer coaching staff in the Spring of 2019 after playing four years for the Redhawks as the goalkeeper. 
 
She is responsible for the goalkeepers, team academic, and other miscellaneous tasks. 
 
Lierz has coached goalkeeper Bailey Redden who earned OVC Goalkeeper of the week twice in her career. Redden has recorded 10-plus saves in five games and posted eight shutouts.

She was a four-year starter for the Redhawks, starting 72 games in the net. Lierz holds the Southeast Missouri career record for goalkeeper minutes played with 6,860 minutes in goal. 

The Springfield, Missouri native, also holds the career record for the Redhawks with 296 saves. Lierz is ranked second in the career records in wins (33) and solo shutouts (27). She is also ranked in the career records in goals against average (3rd, 0.78), matches started (t4th, 68), and in save percentage (5th, .815).

In 2014, Lierz made her NCAA debut with back-to-back shutouts to start her freshman season. She did not allow a goal in over 228 minutes of play. Lierz led the OVC with eight shutouts and is currently ranked fourth in Southeast's single-season record books.

She allowed 12 goals after facing 182 shots, recording a 27th nationally ranked save percentage (.850), also ranking fourth in the single-season record books. Lierz ranked 32nd in goals against average (0.70), also leaving her holding the fourth in the record books. Both her save percentage and goals against average led the OVC. 

In 2015, Lierz shattered the SEMO single-season record with 1940 minutes in goal. This led the OVC and ranked 35th in the nation. She led the OVC in eight shutouts, ranking fourth in the Southeast record books.

As a sophomore, Lierz recorded 86 saves and .819 save percentage, ranking third in the conference. She had a career-high 16 saves at UT Martin on October 29. 

In 2016, Lierz finished with 1823 minutes in the net, ranking fourth in SEMO single-season records. She allowed jsut 18 goals for a 0.89 goals against average. Lierz had 71 saves for a .789 save percentage. 

As a junior, Lierz had seven solo shutouts and officially broke the all-time goal keeper minutes played record in the season finale (5,298 minutes).

In her final season, Lierz played 1561 minutes, allowing just 18 goals and made 71 saves. She recorded two solo shutouts and had a .789 save percentage. 

Lierz earned OVC Defender of the Year and OVC Freshman of the Year titles at the conclusion of the 2014 season, becoming the first in Ohio Valley Conference history to tab both titles in the same season. She was also named First-Team All-OVC and OVC All-Newcomer Team after her freshman year. 

In her four years as a Redhawk, Lierz tabbed seven OVC Weekly honors, recording three as a freshman. In 2015, she earned OVC All-Tournament Team honors after recording 15 saves, a shutout and allowed just two goals in the OVC Tournament.

Lierz graduated in December of 2018 with a degree in Sports Management and is currently pursuing a degree in Higher Education Administration at Southeast.

Prior to becoming a Redhawk, Kindra was a four-time All-State selection and four-time Southwest Region Goalkeeper of the Year after recording 48 shutouts and 0.62 goals against average as a four-year starter at Glendale HS. She competed for St. Louis Scott Gallagher.

Lierz still plays for Fire & Ice out of St. Louis and trains at the Sportsplex in Cape Girardeau. She was a 2017 WPSL Champion and reached the WPSL Final Four in 2018.
