Keira Boetel

The 2025 season will mark the first season for Keira Boetel under head coach Ashley Lawson on the Southeast Missouri Gymnastics staff. Coach Boetel will handle the beam rotation along with in-gym conditioning.

Boetel competed for the UWL gymnastics team during her freshman and sophomore seasons (2021 & 2022) before medically retiring from the sport.

During her competing days, Boetel featured on both the vault and the beam helping the Eagles capture third place at the 2022 NCGA Gymnastics National Championship. Boetel was named the UWL Gymnastics Rookie of the Year in 2021 before earning the UWL Gymnastics Unsung Hero in 2022.

Following her retirement, Boetel stayed on the UWL squad as the student-manager in 2023 and was subsequently hired the following season as the student assistant coach in 2024.

During the 2024 campaign, Boetel oversaw the Eagles journey to a third-place finish at the NCGA National Championships. In the same season, UWL set a new team record at home with a 193.450 and finished with 11 All-Conference honorees and six All-American recipients.

Boetel is a native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
