Kaitlin De Guzman is in her first season as an assistant coach with the Gymhawks.Â
De Guzman started her collegiate career at the University of Kentucky and competed for four seasons. While at Kentucky she set a career best score of 9.925 on bars twice including at the SEC Championships. She also set a career best 9.800 on beam, in her sophomore season.
While at Kentucky, De Guzman earned the Frank G. Ham Society of Character Award for demonstrating a profound commitment to academic excellence, athletic participation, personal development, community service, and career preparation along with being named to the WCGA All-America Scholar Athlete Team.Â
She transferred to Clemson University for her final season in 2024, where she earned All-ACC honors in the uneven bars. In the uneven bars event she won three event titles in her final season at Clemson and set the Clemson record in the event scoring a 9.925 against Air Force (3/8).
Since graduating she has worked at Bliss Speech and Hearing Services while also coaching gymnastics at Life Time Inc. in Allen, Texas.Â
De Guzman graduated from Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and also earned her Master of Science in Sport Leadership.Â
