Blackerby joins Southeast after a stint as a volunteer assistant at Oklahoma. Prior to being an assistant, she coached all levels on multiple events at Bart Conner and Kurt Thomas Gymnastics. Blackerby completed her Bachelors degree in Broadcast Media and Production, as well as her Masters degree in Intercollegiate Athletics Administration.

From 2007-2012, Blackerby competed for the Sooners. After redshirting her freshman year, she was the beam alternate for the remaining four seasons and competed bars, consistently, her junior year. As a senior, Blackerby set a career-high on bars with a score of 9.9, which tied for second place at the Big 12 Championships.
Blackerby will serve as the beam coach at Southeast.Â
