2000-01: Named OVC Newcomer of the Week four times (12.11, 1.8, 1.15 and 2.5) ... started all 27 games ... second leading scorer (12.1), third leading rebounder (4.6) and third in assists (60) on team ... logged 31.7 minutes per game, most on the team ... did not foul out of a single game last season ... shot 50.8% from the field ... recorded a career-high 21 points against UT-Martin (2.27.01) on 9-14 shooting ... pulled down a career-high 10 boards against Murray State (2.8.01) ... had one of most complete game of season against UT-Martin (1.13.01) by posting eight points, seven rebounds and a career-high six assists ... against Tennessee Tech (1.9.01) had 19 points, five rebounds, two assists, four steals and a block ... named to Fresno State Classic All-Tournament team after scoring 29 points and adding eight assists in two games.
At Bevill State-Fayette: Her 1999-2000 team reached the Alabama Junior Community College Conference Division II semifinals, while she was named the AJCCC Division II Player of the Year ... scored 1,105 (18.7) points in her two-year span for the Lady Bears, while collecting 263 steals and 5.9 rebounds per game.
Prep Career: 1998 graduate of Central High School ... named team MVP, All-State and regional tournament MVP.
Personal: Born 6.5.80 ... daughter of Stanford and Dorothy Benson ... electrical technology major an option in computers... recruited by Temple, Belmont and South Alabama ... would like to own her own computer business one day.
