Lisa Pace heads into her seventh season as an assistant coach for the Southeast women's baskeyball team, where she currently serves as the longest tenured staff member in the program. Pace is the lone returning assistant from last season's team that captured its first-ever Ohio Valley Conference championship and NCAA Tournament berth.
Pace is no stranger to success, as she was a part of three OVC Championship teams while playing at Eastern Kentucky, including the 1996-97 Colonel team that finished 24-6 (16-2 in the OVC) and earned a berth to the NCAA Tournament.
She is also the team's recruiting coordinator, where she recruited and signed the top scorer in the history of St. Louis girls' prep basketball in Sonya Daugherty during the 2004-05 season.
Pace primarily works with post players, where she has seen a great deal of success. She has worked with some of the greatest post players in the program's history, including two-time All-OVC First Team selection Tatiana Conceicao. Among the players she has coached are Chandra Brown, Carina Souza and Conceicao, who are playing professional basketball overseas.
Amongst her other titles is director of all Redhawk Basketball Camps, which has grown every year in participation and numbers under her watch. She is actively involved in setting up community service events for the team and coaching staff.
She has been instrumental in the development of the program's "Team Behind the Team" booster club as well as creating the "Rowdy's Lil' Rascals" children's program which assists the team with various activities on Redhawk game days.
Upon completing her Bachelor's of Science Degree in physical education, Pace spent a season as head coach at Model Middle School and an assistant coach at Model High School in Richmond, Ky. Pace then rejoined the Lady Colonels during the 1999-2000 season as a graduate assistant coach.
She completed a Master's Degree in sports administration following the completion of an internship at the University of Tennessee during the summer of 2000. At Tennessee, Pace assisted in the coordination of the Lady Vols summer camps and also got an opportunity to observe firsthand one of the top recruiting programs in the nation.
