2018 Outdoor: Competed in the javelin throw at 10 meets…Won the event at five regular-season meets…Opened the season with a throw of 216-6 (65.99m, first) at the South Alabama Jaguar Opener (3/2-3)…Earned back-to-back titles at the 2018 Drury Hotels Joey Haines Invite (3/30-31) with a mark of 230-2 (70.16m) and at the Joe Walker Invite (4/13-14) with a distance of 232-5 (70.84m)…Also won the Georgia Tech Invitational (4/20-21) and Arkansas Twilight (5/4) titles…Named adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Male Field Athlete of the Week twice on April 18 and May 9 after his performances at the Joe Walker Invite and the Arkansas Twilight…Set a personal-best throw of 242-5 (73.89m) to win javelin at the Ohio Valley Conference Track & Field Championship (5/10-12)…Selected as OVC Male Co-Field Athlete of the Year…Finished third (235-2, 71.67m) at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field West Preliminary (5/24-26) to advance to the 2018 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon…Claimed Second-Team All-America honors with a 10th place finish (223-4, 68.07m) in the javelin at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships (6/6-9)…SEMO's first All-American in the javelin in 28 years (Bob Cahoon, 1990) and fourth javelin All-American in the program's outdoor track & field history…Ranked seventh in the NCAA Division I West Region, ninth in entire DI and first in OVC for javelin…Tops Southeast Missouri program record books for javelin.
