2010 Outdoor: Competed in six meets as a javelin thrower…placed fourth in the javelin with a season-best throw of 109’-3.00” at the Memphis Invitational…finished ninth at the OVC Championships…placed tenth at the Joey Haines Invitational...OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll...Southeast Scholar Athlete.
2009 Outdoor: Recorded three top-five finishes in the javelin...placed fourth at the Austin Peay Spring Fling...finished fifth with a career-best throw of 125’-0.75” at the Joey Haines Invitational...placed fifth at the Memphis Invitational.
2008 (Southeast Soccer): Was a member of the Redhawks soccer team as a goaltender.
2007 (Northwest Missouri State): Member of the Bearcats soccer team...threw javelin as a member of the track and field team.
Prep: Placed second in AAU regional meet in javelin and seventh in shot put in 2004,advancing to AAU national meet...AAU national meet participant in 2005...Second-Team All-Sunflower League soccer player at Shawnee Mission West High School... also played on the basketball and football teams.
Personal: Born 8/24/88...daughter of Rex and Lori Groom...majoring in Mathematics.
