2003: Played in 26 games, starting 15 of them ... had 43 at-bats for the season recording two doubles and three RBI[apos]s... recorded a huge 2-for-4 batting game against Lipscomb University (3.9) also recording two RBI[apos]s and one double.

Community College: Attended Long Beach Community College ... team won very competitive California State Championship... named to honor roll.

Prep: Attended Edison High ... played catcher and third base for coach Suzy Matheison ... two-time All-Sunset League selection ... utility player of the year in 1997 ... won coach[apos]s award, hustle award, and was team captain.

Personal: Born 4-1-82 ... daughter of Jim and Vicki Birk ... winning state championship at LBCC is her biggest sports thrill ... two-year OVC Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll recipient... three-year Southeast Scholar Athlete... fitness and sports medicine major.
