Southeast Missouri hired Josh Moore as its women's tennis coach on Aug. 29, 2012.
Moore was previously head coach at Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 2012 during its first season of competiton. Texas A&M-Kingsville is an NCAA Division II affiliate which competes in the Lone Star Conference.
Moore's responsibilities at Texas A&M-Kingsville included recruiting scholarship players and walk-ons, managing the budget, scheduling, endurance training, strength training, equipment, working with admissions and international student services to help students with their admission process and managing multiple assistants.
A former collegiate tennis player, Moore initially joined the Javelinas staff from the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch where he was a Tennis Professional. He is a certified United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) Professional 1.
Moore has worked with a number of top tennis coaches in the United States throughout his playng days and time at the John Newcombe Tennis Academy. During that time, he also worked with some top players, including Ryler Dehart (former NCAA #1 Singles Player, who made it to the second round of the 2001 US Open), Kevin Anderson (semi-final victory over Novak Djokovic in the summer of 2008) and Jeroen Joling, a former top-20 junior player in the Netherlands.
Moore has been involved in numerous tennis camps, including USA Junior Team Tennis and as the Tennis Instructor for the City of Brownwood, Texas.
He graduated from Howard Payne University with a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Management. Moore played at both Howard Payne and Cloud County Community College.
