Ronnie Dean is in his fifth season as an assistant men's basketball coach at Southeast Missouri State University. He joined the Southeast coaching staff after a successful coaching stint at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Fla.
Dean is nationally recognized as a top recruiter and has previously recruited and coached at Montana, Long Beach State and Cal State-Fullerton. He has also coached at Barton County CC, Lamar CC and Howard College.
A native of Charleston, Mo., Dean exclaims, "I am excited about coaching at home. I've followed Southeast Missouri basketball my entire life."
He also says, "I look forward to working with a great coach like Scott Edgar and I look forward to recruiting the best basketball student-athletes ever at Southeast so we can move back to the top of the OVC and make a return to the NCAA tournament on a regular basis."

Dean graduated from Harris-Stowe State University in St. Louis, Mo., where he played on the basketball team. He also played collegiately at Jefferson CC in Hillsboro, Mo.
