Nick Lagroone is in his third year at Southeast Missouri. Lagroone was promoted to assistant coach on July 13, 2016.
Lagroone’s promotion came after he spent one year as Southeast’s Director of Basketball Operations.
As Director of Basketball Operations, Lagroone handled all the day-to-day operations, assisted with scheduling practice and skill workouts, on-campus recruiting, team travel, academics, camps, video and other duties.
Prior to Southeast, Lagroone coached one season at Greenforest Christian Academy in Atlanta, Georgia.
As head coach at Greenforest, Lagroone led the Eagles to a 27-2 overall record and undefeated 13-0 mark in the region during the 2014-15 campaign. Greenforest advanced to the state championship game that year.
Before that, Lagroone worked as a graduate assistant coach under Ray for two years at Mississippi State.
Lagroone played four years (2007-11) as a guard at Southern Wesleyan University in Central, South Carolina. He was a two-time NAIA All-American and three-time Southern States Athletic Conference honoree. Lagroone finished his college career with 1,645 points and ranked among the top 10 in the NAIA in scoring his final two seasons.
Lagroone and his wife, Brittany, have a son, Braylen.
