Rule/Regulations Pertaining to Use of Mascot
Rowdy is very versatile and can be used in a variety of applications.
1. Athletic events and those
associated with athletics (e.g. Homecoming parade) as designated by the director
of Athletic Marketing. Athletic participation events must be posted to the
mascot calendar no later than one week prior to the event.
2. University-related (not
pertaining to athletics) events such as Show Me Days, open houses, dedications
and grand openings of University facilities. University-related participation
events must be posted to the mascot calendar no later than 10 days prior to the
event and a mascot performance form must be completed and filed with the
director of Athletic Marketing. University-related entities requiring a Redhawk
mascot appearance must pay $25 performance fee, which can be waived only by
mutual agreement of the director of Athletic Marketing and the director of
University Relations.
3. For-profit private businesses
and organizations, private entities, e.g. private birthday parties, graduation
parties, weddings, ect.,, which wiull be charged a performance fee of $75 per
hour for a maximum appearance of two (2) hours. In addition, a mileage fee of 20
cents per mile will be charged for appearances outside the city limits of Cape
Girardeau. These performance appearances must be posted to the mascot calendar
no later than two weeks prior to the event and a mascot performance form must be
completed and filed with the director of Athletic Marketing. Payment for
the event, payable to Southeast Missouri State University, must be recieved a
minimum of one day prior to the event. The fee(s) can only be waived by the
mutual agreement of the director of Athletic Marketing and the director of
University Relations.
4. Non-for-profit services and
organizations, which may or may not be charged a performance fee or a partial
fee as determined by mutual consent of the director of Athletic Marketing and
the director of University Relations. These performance appearences myst be
posted to the mascot calendar no later than two weeks prior to the event and a
mascot performance form must be completed and filed with the director of
Athletic Marketing. If the organization is charged a performance fee, the
payment is due a minimum of one day prior to the event.
The Redhawk mascot cannot be used by any organizations which specialize in
the sale of either alcohol or tobacco products or in any instance deemed
improper for University branding by either the director of Athletic Marketing or
the director of University Relations.
