Biography

Won second-team all-OVC honors at defensive end ... missed the 2001 season because of a broken ankle... goes to fall drills as a starter at defensive end ... began 2000 season as starter at tight end ... moved to defense during the season ... good size and strength ... very aggressive.

2002: Second-team all-OVC selection at defensive end ... 65 tackles including 30 unassisted stops ... led the team in tackles for losses with 13 for 40 yards in losses ... five sacks for 24 yards in losses ... returned a fumble recovery 17 yards vs. Tennessee Tech.

2001: Redshirted because of ankle injury.

2000: Three catches for 32 yards as a tight end ... moved to defense and recorded 20 tackles ... had one tackle for a loss of seven yards ... forced one fumble.

1999: Began the season as a backup offensive tackle ... moved to tight end late in the season ... lettered as a true freshman.

PREP: All-conference, all-area and all-city as an offensive center at Naperville North High School ... captain of the track team.

PERSONAL: Born 10-17-81 ... son of Carol Roth ... majoring in general studies.
