2012: Played in one game...Southeast Scholar-Athlete and Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll selection.

2011: Redshirted as a walk-on.

Prep: Graduated from Scott City High School in 2011 where he was a member of both the football and track teams...Rushed for more than 1,400 yards as a senior tailback for the Rams in 2010...Ran for 205 yards in the season-opener vs. Malden and followed that up with a career-high 261 yards a week later against St. Vincent...Saw first varsity action as a sophomore with most of his playing time coming on defense...Piled up 1,052 rushing yards as a junior...Finished third in the 200 meters at the Class 2 track championships as a junior.

Personal: Born October 31, 1992...Undecided on his major...Son of Ron and Patty Schaefer...His older brother, Matt, played Division III football at Illinois College where he started at running back for two seasons before tearing a rotator cuff which sidelined him for his senior year.
