Cloud County CC: Began his collegiate career at Cloud County Community College for head coach Eric Gilliland…During his first season at Cloud County, Demitri recorded a .413 batting average, a .506 on-base percentage, and a .678 slugging-percentage from his outfield position…in his second year, he hit .410 with a .455 on-base percentage and finished with a .581 slugging-percentage…He is the Cloud County CC all-time single season hits leader, and career hits leader…he was a two-time All-KJCCC West first team selection and a two-time NJCAA first team all-region honoree.
 
Prep: A native of Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada…Demitiri played high school baseball at Vauxhall Baseball Academy for head coach Les MacTavish…He started and lettered one season. 
 
Personal: The son of Darren and Lee Shakotko…Demitri also played hockey during his youth years…He intends on majoring in athletic training at Southeast.
