Adam Schwent

Biography

Adam Schwent is in his first season as a defensive and special teams assistant with the Southeast Missouri State football program. Schwent played running back and linebacker at Southeast for three seasons before knee injuries ended his playing career.

In 2008, he worked as a student assistant coach while completing his undergraduate degree. He currently works with the defensive backs and assists with special teams.

Schwent was the Missouri Class 3 Most Valuable Player as a senior at Ste. Genevieve High School in 2003. He set school records with 2,950 rushing yards and 38 touchdowns as a senior. He rushed for over 4,200 yards during his prep career.

He finished 144 yards shy of the Missouri high school career rushing record after suffering an injury on the opening kickoff of the state championship game during his senior season.

Schwent graduated from Southeast in Dec. 2008 with a bachelor[apos]s degree in Health, Human Performance and Recreation.
