Luke Berblinger 2025

Luke Berblinger

Luke Berblinger is in his seventh year as part of Southeast Missouri’s coaching staff. This season marks the second where Berblinger will coach the tight ends.

Berblinger, who hails from Buhler, Kansas, was also in charge of offensive quality control, worked as SEMO’s video coordinator for three years, was the team’s recruiting coordinator and worked as running backs coach for three seasons before taking over his current role as tight ends coach.

He helped assemble the 2022 signing class, presently SEMO’s largest in program history.

Berblinger coached All-American running back Geno Hess who became SEMO’s all-time leading rusher in 2022. Along the way, Hess broke numerous school records, was named both the Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player and Male Athlete of the Year and finished his career with over 5,000 rushing yards.

Before joining the Redhawks, Berblinger was a student assistant slotbacks and strength & conditioning coach at Emporia State from 2017-18 and graduate assistant in the same capacity in 2019.

Berblinger played four years as a slotback at Emporia State during the 2014-17 seasons and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Health & Human Performance in 2018.

He and his wife, Baylee, have a daughter, Lucy.
