Jason Zerbach starts his first year as Southeast Missouri’s strength and conditioning coach in 2019-20.
Prior to SEMO, Zerbach worked two years as Director of Strength and Conditioning at Southwest Minnesota State.
Zerbach went to SMSU after serving as strength and conditioning coach at Garden City Community College where he helped the football team earn its first NJCAA national championship in 2016.
Before Garden City, he was lead strength and conditioning assistant at Wake Forest University. He has also spent time at Western Kentucky, Gardner-Webb, Carroll and Waukesha South High School.
Zerbach is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach and Mentor with the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches association, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning association, USA-Weightlifting (USAW) Sport Performance Level 1, Red Cross CPR, First Aid & AED.
An Army veteran, Zerbach earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science/human performance with a minor in sports psychology from Carroll University. He earned his master’s degree in kinesiology/recreation administration from Western Kentucky University.
