Southeast Missouri State University Athletics

Outlook: James will return to the bullpen this year where he was a trusted hand last season working 17 innings. Has one of the strongest arms on the staff and a great physical specimen. Will be relied on for stopper duty.

At Southeast:

2002: A key workhorse in the bullpen for the Tribe last season?saw one start and had 11 total appearances?pitched 17 innings and struck out 14, while walking only four.

At Olney Central C.C.: Second-Team All-Conference as a catcher.

Personal: A 1999 product of Althoff Cathloic High School in Belleville, Ill...was All-Conference, All-Metro for two years...played baseball and basketball in high school as well...was also recruited by Illinois, Memphis, Murray State, Illinois State, and Indiana...lists the Dave Matthews Band as his favorite group and mexican as his favorite food...son of James and Anna Beever...majoring in Business at Southeast.
