Biography

Outlook: Will be the utility infielder this season for the Tribe an may see time at his familiar post of designated hitter.

At Southeast: Started in 44 of the 52 games he played in at either catcher, infield or designated hitter...hit .299 on the season with 26 RBI's...had seven doubles and two triples on the season...had a .366 on base percentage and was flawless in the infield... batted .348 in conference play, .350 in the OVC Tournament and .308 in the Regional Tournament... a clutch hitter, Lawson had 13 2-out RBI's this season and batted. .339 with runners in scoring position...had 8 multiple-RBI games and 15 multiple hit games on the season.

At Jefferson College: An All-Conference selection both seasons at JeffCo.

Personal: A three-sport athlete and 1998 grad at Windsor High School...was All-Conference and All-District his senior season...he was the team captain...a general studies major at Southeast...born 3.28.80...son of Dianne Hicks and Dave Lawson
