Shooting guard who was rated as a three-star recruit by Rivals.com...Has the ability to be multi-dimensional and brings a tremendous reputation from a high-profile high school...ESPN's college basketball website described him as being, "an athletic, strong and aggressive wing that can get to the rim and finish through contact"...Arkansas State, Iowa State and Northern Illinois were other schools which offered Wilkerson scholarships.
Prep: Ranked third on the team in scoring with 12.8 points per game as a senior at Melrose High School...Added an average of 6.4 rebounds, 3.3 steals and 2.7 assists per game that year, as well...Helped lead the Golden Wildcats to an overall record of 26-7 and 10-1 conference mark...Melrose finished as the No. 2 prep program in the state of Tennessee...Led Melrose High School to a Class AAA state title when the Golden Wildcats beat Nino Johnson’s White Station team, 75-70, his junior year...Shot 50 percent (69-of-138) from the field and finished with seven points per game in 2009-10...Also scored double figures eight times and pitched in a season-high 22 points against Hamilton High School.
