2001: Started in 39 of 48 games played in...hit .256 with nine doubles and six home runs...had 21 RBI's and stole three of five bases attempted.

At Iowa Central C.C.: Redshirted his first year...earned All-Region honors after posting a .400 average with 11 home runs.

Personal: Graduated in 1998 from Totino Grace...a talented three-sport athlete...named All-Conference and All-State two seasons, while spending three years on varsity for coach Ned Thompson...excelled in football and was named to the All-Metro, All-Conference teams, while also team MVP and All-State his senior season...born 3.8.80...son of David and Robin Hopkins...pursuing a degree in Southeast's highly touted business program...originally signed with Iowa State as a frosh.
