CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri Athletics accumulated a 3.56 grade point during the spring semester to wrap up its best academic year in department history.
SEMO posted a 3.53 GPA in the Fall 2025 term before increasing that mark to 3.56 in the Spring 2026 semester.
All 13 teams finished above a 3.0 GPA for the fifth consecutive semester and fifth time in school history. SEMO also completed its 18
th-straight semester with a departmental GPA above 3.0.
Football, men's track & field and softball each posted the highest GPA in their respective program histories. Football reached a 3.41 GPA, men's track & field established a 3.53 mark and softball posted a 3.77 GPA.
Meanwhile, men's basketball and men's cross country recorded their second-highest semester GPAs with 3.19 and 3.70 marks, respectively.
A total of 133 student-athletes were named to SEMO's Dean's List and 88 landed on the University's President's List. In all, 111 student-athletes earned a 4.0 GPA in the Spring 2026 semester.
