Track and Field Hires Tre Lathan

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri hired Tre Lathan as an assistant coach that will work with the sprinters, head coach Eric Crumpecker announced Wednesday.
Lathan comes to SEMO after three years at Coffeyville Community College as an assistant coach that focused on sprints and relays. At Coffeyville, he won the 2025 Central Region Men's Assistant Coach of the Year.
He has also made coaching stops at Paradise Valley Community College from 2018-22 where he developed 15 NJCAA All-Americans. Along with Iowa Central Community College from 2022-23 where he coached the regional champions in the 60m and 60m hurdles.
As an athlete, Lathan won the 2013 Big 12 Championships 110m hurdles along with being a second team All-American in the same event. He wrapped up his collegiate career at Oklahoma University, he started out his career at Neosho County Community College where he was a multi-time NJCAA All-American in the 55m hurdles, 60m hurdles and 110m hurdles.
Lathan earned his associate of General Studies from Neosho in 2011 and completed his Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies from Oklahoma in 2017.
