CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Sullivan Gleason and Jake Cannon were named OVC Co-Field Athletes of the Week, the league announced Wednesday afternoon.  

This is the fourth straight week the Southeast Missouri track and field team has had the OVC Field Athlete of the Week. Cannon has been cited in back-to-back weeks, and Gleason was honored for the second time this outdoor season. 

Gleason, a senior from St. Peters, Missouri, shared the pole vault title at the Georgia Tech Invite with Cannon clearing 17-0.75 on his third attempt. Despite not being a personal best this clearance was his highest mark of the outdoor season.

Cannon, a sophomore from Mount Juliet, Tennessee, shared the pole vault event with Gleason at the Georgia Tech Invite also clearing 17-0.75 to set his new personal best mark.

Gleason and Cannon will lead the bulk of the track and field team at the Jim McConnell Invitational hosted by the University of Arkansas.
