Redhawks Host Lindenwood
•    Southeast Missouri (14-25, 10-7) hosts Lindenwood (20-20, 9-9) in a three-game Ohio Valley Conference series this weekend. SEMO and LU will play a 1 p.m. doubleheader Saturday followed by a single game at 12 p.m., CT Sunday.
•    SEMO is at home for seven of its final 10 games of the regular-season.
•    The Redhawks also host Murray State (Apr. 28) and Tennessee Tech (May 1-2) in that stretch.

50th Anniversary Celebration
•    Several Alumni will make their way back to Cape Girardeau to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Southeast Missouri's softball program this weekend.
•    SEMO first became an NCAA program in 1976 and joined the NCAA Division I ranks in 1992.
•    A special 50th Anniversary celebration event will be held on Friday, Apr. 17 at Scout Hall in downtown Cape Girardeau.
•    Tailgating and other events will be open to Alumni which will then be recognized prior to first pitch of Saturday's doubleheader.

Series Notes
•    Southeast Missouri holds a 9-1 lead in its all-time series against Lindenwood.
•    SEMO and LU are the only NCAA Division I schools in Missouri that are conference rivals.
•    Since the Lions joined the Ohio Valley Conference in 2023, SEMO has clinched series wins against LU every time the teams have met.
•    The Redhawks swept the Lions in 2023 and 2024 and won two of three in 2025.
•    SEMO eliminated LU from the OVC Tournament a year ago.

Redburn vs. Lindenwood
•    All games against Lindenwood in Southeast Missouri's softball history have been played with Mark Redburn as head coach.
•    Redburn is 9-1 against LU with his only loss coming in St. Charles on Apr. 6, 2025 (3-1).
•    He has swept the Lions twice (2023, 2024) in his career.

Five-Game Week
•    This weekend's series against Lindenwood wraps up a five-game week for the Redhawks.
•    Southeast Missouri dropped back-to-back midweek contests at Evansville (5-1, Apr. 14) and Illinois (9-8, Apr. 15).
•    The Redhawks fell to 2-5 in midweek games this season.

Three-Straight OVC Series Wins
•    Southeast Missouri will look to keep its momentum going in Ohio Valley Conference play when Lindenwood comes to Cape Girardeau this weekend.
•    SEMO has won three-straight OVC series with a sweep of Tennessee State (Mar. 28-29) and 2-1 series victories at SIU Edwardsville (Apr. 3-4) and vs. league leader Eastern Illinois (Apr. 11-12).
•    The Redhawks have won eight of their last 10 OVC games.

Redhawks Take Down OVC Leader Eastern Illinois
•    Southeast Missouri handed Ohio Valley Conference leader Eastern Illinois its first conference series loss of the season on Apr. 11-12 in Cape Girardeau.
•    SEMO won a pair of one-run games by scores of 9-8 and 4-3 in a doubleheader to clinch the series win.

OVC Update
•    Southeast Missouri is fourth in the Ohio Valley Conference standings with a 10-7 league record.
•    SEMO entered the Easter weekend at sixth in the OVC before passing both SIUE and Southern Indiana for the fourth-place spot.
•    Eastern Illinois (14-3), UT Martin (13-4) and Tennessee Tech (11-5) are ahead of the Redhawks.
•    Lindenwood (9-9) currently sits in seventh place, three spots behind SEMO.
•    The Redhawks have nine OVC games remaining this season.

Yard Work
•    Southeast Missouri has hit a home run in four-straight games and six of its last nine contests.
•    SEMO hit six home runs in its previous four games alone for an average of two per game.
•    For the season, the Redhawks have 17 round-trippers.
•    Raigan Brannon and Gracie Luna lead the team with three home runs each.

20th Career Home Run
•    Aubrie Shore hit the 20th home run of her Southeast Missouri career with a three-run smash in the top of the fourth inning at Illinois (Apr. 15).
•    It was also Shore's second home run of the 2026 season. Her other round-tripper came at Tulsa (Feb. 28).
•    Shore is now tied for eighth with Kim Palmer (20, 1996-98) on SEMO's all-time career home run list.

Affolter on a Roll
•     Left fielder Brittany Affolter hit safely in nine of her last 12 starts.
•    Affolter hit .361 (13-for-36) with 15 runs scored, four doubles, a triple, two home runs, seven RBI. six walks and four stolen bases in that span.
•    She hit .400 in Southeast Missouri's series win at SIU Edwardsville (Apr. 3-4). 
•    Affolter hit a two-run home run in the top of the seventh inning after SIUE pulled within a run during game two of the Redhawks doubleheader sweep on Apr. 3.
•    She homered again against Eastern Illinois (Apr. 12) for her second round-tripper of the season.

Getting on Base
•     Kamden Hutton reached base in nine of her 12 plate appearances over three starts at SIU Edwardsville (Apr. 3-4). 
•    Hutton got on base in seven of her first eight trips to the plate.
•    For the series, she had four hits, scored five runs and walked five times.
•    Hutton leads the team with a .447 on-base percentage this year and has reached base in 11-straight games.

Redhawks Second in OVC in Fielding Percentage
•    Southeast Missouri is tied for second in the Ohio Valley Conference with a .963 fielding percentage.
•    SEMO committed a league low 37 errors through 39 games.
•    The Redhawks went without an error in 17 games this season.

Starting Streak
•     Addy Martinie has started 46-consecutive games dating back to the 2025 season.
•    Martinie is the only player who started every game this year.
•    She made 33 of her starts at shortstop.

Strong at Home
•    Southeast Missouri is 7-1 at the Southeast Softball Comples this season.
•    SEMO won eight of its last nine games at home dating back to the 2025 campaign.

Redburn Approaching 400 Wins at NCAA Division I Level
•    Mark Redburn needs just three more wins to reach 400 career victories during his two NCAA Division I coaching jobs.
•    Redburn compiled 397 wins during his head coaching stops at SEMO (307) and Evansville (90).
•    Earlier this year, Redburn picked up his 300th career win at SEMO when the Redhawks beat Southern Indiana, 10-5, on Mar. 22.
•    He is 307-255 during his SEMO tenure.

Shore Now Fifth in Career RBI
•     Aubrie Shore is tied for fifth among Southeast Missouri's all-time career leaders in RBI.
•    Shore has 120 RBI and surpassed Tracie Eudaley (119, 1984-87) for that spot.
•    She ranks second on the team with 20 RBI through 35 starts this season.

Scoring Advantage vs. OVC Foes
•     Southeast Missouri is outscoring Ohio Valley Conference opponents, 96-65 (+31), through 17 league games.
•    SEMO has scored the most in the third (23) and sixth (22) innings during OVC play.
•    The Redhawks outscored Tennessee State, 30-7, in a three-game sweep on Mar. 28-29.

Top Two Hitters 
•    Kamden Hutton and Madison Winkler are hitting .343 and .336, respectively.
•    Winkler (38) and Hutton (34) have combined for 72 of SEMO's hits this season.
•    The tandem is also responsible for 39 runs and 34 RBI through 39 games this year.

About Lindenwood
•    Lindenwood has won eight of its last 10 games and comes to Cape Girardeau with an even 20-20 overall record and 9-9 in Ohio Valley Conference play.
•    The Lions dropped two of three games in their series against SIU Edwardsville (Apr. 11-12).
•    Six players are hitting over .300 for LU led by Anna Sanders (.378). Emily Geary leads the Lions with six home runs and is second on the team with 30 RBI. Geary also boasts a team-best .557 slugging percentage.
