Redhawks Come Up Short Against Lipscomb Saturday Night

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Lipscomb (2-2) scored seven runs in the final two innings to pull off a 7-4 come-from-behind win over Southeast Missouri (0-4) Saturday night at the Black & Gold Challenge.

SEMO started strong by chasing LU freshman starting pitcher Chloe Ellis in the bottom of the first inning.

All nine Redhawks came to the plate. With Aubrie Shore on first and one out, Brooklyn Saysoff singled. Raigan Brannon followed with a base hit to load the bases before Gracie Luna walked and Saysoff scored.

LU rallied late to score three runs in the top of the sixth inning to make it a one-run contest.

Then, in the seventh, the Bisons tacked on four more runs to complete their comeback victory.

Freshman Summer Branch (0-1) took the loss in relief. Branch gave up four runs on three hits, walked two and struck out one in one inning.
