Track Notches Four Event Winners At Missouri Invitational

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Southeast Missouri Track and Field squads produced an impressive performance at the Missouri Invitational, highlighted by multiple event victories and a strong collection of podium finishes across both track and field competition. Leading the way were Brianna Dixon in the women's high jump, Sullivan Gleason in the men's pole vault, Clara Billing in the women's pole vault, and Madelyn Gray in the women's 3,000 meters, each earning first-place finishes for SEMO.

Event Winners

Dixon captured the women's high jump title with a clearance of 5-8.75 and also added a third-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles. Gleason claimed the men's pole vault victory with a personal-best, and tied the school record with a clearance of 17-0.75, headlining a dominant vault group performance. Billing followed with a win in the women's pole vault, clearing 13-5.25. On the distance side, Gray secured the women's 3,000-meter title in a personal-best time of 9:58.2.

Podium Finishers

SEMO added several runner-up and third-place performances throughout the meet. Jake Cannon finished second and Colin Beers placed third in the men's pole vault to join Gleason on the podium. Luke Busateri earned second in the men's triple jump, while Trenton Braswell took third in the men's weight throw. In the women's weight throw, Andreese Ortiz took second and Baylee Beard took third.

On the track, Cole Reinders placed third in the men's 800 meters, Marcus Gordon finished third in the men's 60-meter hurdles, Nova Ojutkangas earned third in the women's mile, Garrett Dumke secured third in the men's 3,000 meters, and Anna Thomason added a third-place finish in the women's long jump. To wrap up the meet, the men's 4x400-meter relay which included Tyler Anderson, Cole Reinders, Trey Mygatt and Micah Grawer placed second.

Other Top 10 Performances

Additional top 10 efforts included Liberty Blackburn finishing fourth in the women's high jump with a season-best match. In the men's long jump, Matt Pluff placed fifth, Aarion Jackson took sixth, and Cole Brunderman finished eighth. Alyssa Repke placed fifth and Ortiz finished eighth in the women's weight throw, while Konnon Harlow and Luis Schadlich took eighth and ninth, respectively, in the men's pole vault.

Track highlights featured Jackson Witvoet finishing fourth in the men's 400 meters; Jonas Davis and Kani Smith placing sixth and seventh in the men's 60 meters; Ceyda Bayur finishing ninth in the women's 800 meters; Davis and Smith taking fourth and seventh in the men's 200 meters; and Sydney Burdine finishing fifth in the women's 200 meters.

In the distance events, Tyler Anderson, who set a personal best, and Evan Fuller placed sixth and seventh in the men's mile, while Mark Goldman and Trenton Braswell finished fourth and fifth in the men's shot put. Cade McCadams added a seventh-place finish in the men's 3,000 meters, and Mattea Pearsall placed fifth in the women's 3,000 meters to round out the Redhawks' top performances. In the last race of the meet the women's 4x400-meter relay which included Kale Clements, Bayur, Eftink and Layla Fliege placed seventh.

The next meet for the Redhawks will be the Heartland Invitational starting Friday, Feburary 13th and wrapping up Feburary 14th in Indianapolis, Indiana.
