Redhawks Back Home
•    Southeast Missouri (13-10, 8-4) is back at home to host Morehead State (12-11, 8-4) Thursday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., CT at the Show Me Center.
•    SEMO is in Cape Girardeau for two games this week with Southern Indiana on the back end of the home stand on Feb. 7.
•    The Redhawks are on a two-game home winning streak and are 4-2 against Ohio Valley Conference foes on their home court.

Series Notes
•    Southeast Missouri and Morehead State meet for the 63rd time to close out their two-game series this season.
•    MSU holds a 40-22 lead in the all-time series.
•    The Eagles edged the Redhawks, 71-69, in the first matchup at Johnson Arena on Jan. 10.
•    MSU has come away with a win at the Show Me Center in five-straight games dating back to the 2020-21 season.
•    The last time SEMO beat the Eagles in Cape Girardeau was on Jan. 11, 2018 (78-75).

Four in a Row
•    The Redhawks are on a four-game winning streak for the second time in 2025-26.
•    Southeast Missouri's four-game winning streak is presently the longest in the Ohio Valley Conference.
•    SEMO upended OVC leader UT Martin, 66-50, on Jan. 20 and second-place Little Rock, 70-65, on Jan. 22.
•    The Redhawks snapped UTM's seven-game winning streak and ended LR's four-game winning streak.
•    SEMO followed that up by handing Western Illinois its 11th-straight loss by a score of 78-74 on Jan. 29 and took down Eastern Illinois, 77-59, on Jan. 31.

Second Half of OVC Play Underway
•    Southeast Missouri began the second half of Ohio Valley Conference play with road wins at Western Illinois (78-74, Jan. 29) and Eastern Illinois (77-59, Jan. 31).
•    It marked the third time SEMO started the second half of league action with a victory under Head Coach Brad Korn.
•    The Redhawks are 2-0 to start the second portion of their conference schedule for the second year in a row.
•    SEMO won its first nine games during the second half of OVC play in 2024-25.
•    The Redhawks went 6-4 through their first 10 games of the OVC slate.
•    It was the second-straight season where SEMO finished with a winning record during the first half of league action.
•    The Redhawks posted a winning record through the opening half of OVC play for the third time in six years with Brad Korn as head coach.

Korn vs. Morehead State
•    Brad Korn is 4-9 against Morehead State as Southeast Missouri's head coach.
•    Three of Korn's victories against the Eagles came in Morehead, Kentucky and the other was in the semifinals of the 2023 Ohio Valley Conference Tournament in Evansville, Indiana.
•    MSU is the only OVC team Korn does not have a win against at the Show Me Center. He is 0-5 vs. the Eagles in Cape Girardeau.

Last Time vs. Morehead State
•    Southeast Missouri held a 58-48 lead with 10:55 remaining in the game when Morehead State pulled off a close 71-69 comeback win on Jan. 10 at Ellis Arena.
•    MSU outscored SEMO, 41-31, and shot 68.2 (15-of-22) from the field in the second half.
•    Chase Dawson made a 3-pointer to get the Eagles the lead with 1:33 left and made one free throw to finish off the 71-69 victory.
•    SEMO had a chance to tie it, but BJ Ward's mid-range jumper came off the front of the rim.
•    The Redhawks turned the ball over a season-low five times in the game and went the first 28 minutes of the contest without a turnover.

Two Sweeps
•    Southeast Missouri has swept both Western Illinois and Eastern Illinois in the Ohio Valley Conference home-and-home series between the teams this season.
•    SEMO's latest wins at WIU (Jan. 29) and EIU (Jan. 31) gave Brad Korn his first road sweep of the Leathernecks and Panthers in his head coaching career.

Redhawks Tied for Second in the OVC
•    The Redhawks enter Thursday's game in a four-way tie for second in the Ohio Valley Conference standings.
•    Southeast Missouri, Tennessee State, Lindenwood and Morehead State are all 8-4 in the league behind leader UT Martin (9-2).
•    The 9-2 OVC start for the Skyhawks is their best ever. SEMO gave UTM its second loss in Cape Girardeau on Jan. 20.

Terry Keys Road Wins
•    Brendan Terry scored 16 points, including six in the final 52 seconds to nail down Southeast Missouri's 78-74 road win at Western Illinois (Jan. 29).
•    Terry scored a layup and made four free throws in that decisive stretch.
•    SEMO did not trail the Leathernecks for the last 13:36 of the contest and did not lead by more than four points in the final 3:05.
•    Two days later, Terry dropped in a game-high 22 points as the Redhawks led wire-to-wire in a 77-59 win at Eastern Illinois (Jan. 31).
•    Since Terry re-joined the starting lineup on Jan. 15 (vs. Lindenwood), he has scored double figures in four of six starts, including each of his last three.

Ward Approaching 100 Assists
•    Point guard BJ Ward is coming up on 100 assists this season.
•    Ward recently dished out a career-high eight at Eastern Illinois (Jan. 31).
•    He has 94 assists in 23 starts this season.
•    Ward is on pace to get 100 assists in a season for the first time in his career.
•    He had a total of 15 assists to only two turnovers combined in his last two games.
•    SEMO has had a player get 100 or more assists in a season three-straight years.
•    Phillip Russell (174, 2022-23) and Rob Martin (108, 2023-24; 147, 2024-25) accounted for those three 100-assist marks.

January Ends
•    The Redhawks closed out January with road wins at Western Illinois (Jan. 29) and Eastern Illinois (Jan. 31).
•    Southeast Missouri ended the month with a 7-3 record giving Head Coach Brad Korn his best January record since he took over the helm in 2020-21.

13 or More Wins
•    Southeast Missouri is one of five teams in the Ohio Valley Conference with 13 or more wins this season.
•    SEMO is 13-10 overall entering this week's action.
•    UT Martin (17-5) leads the league in overall wins, while Tennessee State (14-8), SIU Edwardsville (14-9), Lindenwood (14-9) and SEMO follow.

•    The Redhawks won 11 of their last 15 games.
•    SEMO posted its largest win of the season against an NCAA Division I foe when it defeated Western Illinois, 73-50, on Jan. 3.

Terry Playing Well
•    Brendan Terry put together his best game of the season to date when he poured in a career-high 30 points off the bench to lead Southeast Missouri to its 84-76 win at Southern Indiana (Jan. 8).
•    Terry, who scored 17 points in the first half, finished at 13-of-16 from the field. He also made two 3-pointers, grabbed a game-high eight rebounds, dished out two assists, had two blocks and two steals in 32 minutes.
•    He followed that up with a team-high 13 points at Morehead State (Jan. 10), 10 points vs. Lindenwood (Jan. 15), 10 vs. Little Rock (Jan. 22), 16 at Western Illinois (Jan. 29) and 22 at Eastern Illinois (Jan. 31).
•    Terry was averaging under nine points before the Southern Indiana game on Jan. 8. Now, he is SEMO's third-leading scorer with 10.7 points per game.
•    He scored double figures in seven of his last nine games and returned to the starting lineup vs. Lindenwood (Jan. 15).

Last 32 OVC Games
•    Southeast Missouri has a record of 23-9 in its last 31 Ohio Valley Conference games dating back to the start of the 2024-25 season.
•    SEMO won 19 of its previous 25 matchups with OVC foes going back to its victory at Western Illinois on Jan. 25, 2025.

Nice Defense
•    Southeast Missouri leads the Ohio Valley Conference in turnover margin 23 games into its 2025-26 season.
•    SEMO is forcing 14.3 turnovers per game and turning the ball over 12 times per contest for a +2.26 margin.
•    The Redhawks forced 329 turnovers, second-most in the OVC.
•    Opponents turned the ball over 19 or more times in five games against SEMO's defense this season.

Double Vision
