Redhawks Head to Oklahoma 
•    Southeast Missouri travels to Oklahoma for five games this weekend.
•    SEMO will visit #21 Oklahoma State for a doubleheader on Friday at 3 p.m., CT.
•    The Redhawks will then face South Dakota State and Tulsa Saturday before playing one more game against Tulsa Sunday. Those three games will be played in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
•    The Oklahoma/Tulsa Invitational marks SEMO's fourth and final weekend of tournament play.

Series Records
•    Southeast Missouri is 0-2 vs. Oklahoma State, 2-2 vs. South Dakota State and 0-1 vs. Tulsa in its program history.
•    SEMO faces Oklahoma State for the first time in 45 years. The teams last played a doubleheader during the 1981 season with the Cowgirls winning by scores of 11-1 and 4-2.
•    The Redhawks last squared off against South Dakota State in 2024. SEMO and SDSU played twice at the Woo Pig Classic with the Jackrabbits winning, 9-0 and 9-1.
•    SEMO's only matchup with Tulsa came at the Rock Chalk Challenge in Lawrence, Kansas on Mar. 17, 2017 (L, 0-6).

Tournament Play
•    As has been the case in years past, Southeast Missouri is spending its first several weeks of the season outside of Cape Girardeau.
•    SEMO is playing its first 18 games across four different tournaments in four different states.
•    The Redhawks opened the season at the Southern Mississippi Black & Gold Challenge (Feb. 6-8) and competed at the East Texas A&M Lion Invitational (Feb. 12-14) Arkansas Razorback Invitational (Feb. 20-21) thus far.
•    After this weekend, SEMO open Ohio Valley Conference play with a three-game home series vs. Western Illinois (Mar. 7-8).

Getting on Base
•    Madison Winkler has reached base in 20-straight games dating back to May 4, 2025.
•    Winkler got on base with a hit in 11 of her first 13 starts this season.
•    She reached on a walk in her other two starts.
•    Winkler ranks 17th in the Ohio Valley Conference with a .444 on-base percentage.

Top of the Lineup
•    Madison Winkler and Kamden Hutton are hitting .390 and .343 at the top of Southeast Missouri's lineup, respectively.
•    Winkler (16) and Hutton (12) have combined for over 40 percent of SEMO's hits this season.
•    The tandem also combined for eight runs and 10 RBI through 13 games this year.

Winkler Goes Yard
•    Madison Winkler hit her first career home run on a solo shot to right center at the time giving Southeast Missouri a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning against Northwestern (Feb. 21).
•    Winkler became the fifth Redhawk to homer this year.

This Weekend's Opponents
•    #21 Oklahoma State was picked second behind national runner-up Texas Tech in the 2026 Big 12 Softball Preseason Poll. 
•    OSU is 11-4 overall and carries a five-game winning streak into its doubleheader with Southeast Missouri. 
•    Friday's games will be the Cowgirls' first at home this season.
•    Infielder Rosie Davis and pitcher Ruby Meylan earned Preseason All-Big 12 honors for OSU.
•    Davis ranks second on the team with a .366 batting average behind Claire Timm (.485).
•    Preslee Downing (3-0, 1.26 ERA) and Meylan (4-3) accounted for seven of the Cowgirls' 11 wins in the circle this year. Meylan leads OSU with 46 strikeouts in 44.2 innings and has thrown three complete games, as well.
•    South Dakota State, selected third in this year's Summit League Preseason Poll, is off to a 12-4 start.
•    Amanda Vacanti (.485) and Emma Vike (.403) are both hitting over .400 and have combined for 11 home runs and 34 RBI thus far.
•    Eight different players have pitched for SDSU this season. Mandi Mangulis leads the staff with a 4-1 record, 3.09 ERA, two saves and 28 strikeouts in 10 appearances and five starts.
•    Tulsa (5-9) is the second team from the American Conference that SEMO plays in 2026.
•    The Hurricane are led by Faith Russell and Maci Cole, hitting .364 and .333, respectively.
•    Maura Moore (3-3) tops Tulsa with 45 strikeouts, more than her team's other four players who have pitched this season combined (24).

300 Wins in Sight
•    Mark Redburn is four wins away from reaching 300 as Southeast Missouri's head coach.
•    Redburn took over the helm in 2015 and has a record of 296-240 during his SEMO tenure.
•    Combined, Redburn has 386 victories between his NCAA Division I coaching stops at SEMO (296) and Evansville (90).

History vs. Ranked Teams
•    #21 Oklahoma State is the second ranked team Southeast Missouri faces this season.
•    SEMO is 0-2 against such teams this year with two losses at #7 Arkansas (Feb. 21, Feb. 22).
•    The Redhawks have two wins over ranked opponents in their NCAA Division I era and both were against SEC teams and belong to Mark Redburn.
•    SEMO took down then-#11 Missouri in Columbia, 1-0, on Apr. 3, 2024 and then-#12 Arkansas, 6-1, at the Razorback Invitational on Feb. 22, 2019.
•    The Redhawks are 2-27 all-time against ranked teams since their program turned NCAA Division I in 1992.
•    #11 Missouri was the last ranked opponent SEMO upended (Apr. 3, 2025). Missouri was stands as the highest ranked opponent the Redhawks beat in program history.

Against the Big 12
•    Southeast Missouri has faced four teams out of the Big 12 Conference in its softball history.
•    SEMO is 6-13 all-time against Big 12 foes with a 3-5 record vs. Iowa State, 2-5 mark vs. Kansas, 0-2 record vs. Oklahoma State and 1-1 record vs. Texas Tech.
•    Iowa State was the last Big 12 school the Redhawks played on Apr. 18, 2023 in Ames, Iowa. The Cyclones beat SEMO in a doubleheader that year.

When Hutton Calls, You Listen
•    Infielder Kamden Hutton, who transferred to Southeast Missouri from Vernon College, is off to a strong start this 2026 season.
•    Hutton has been in the starting lineup 12-straight games and hit safely in 10 of those contests.
•    She is currently second on the team in batting average (.343), runs (4) and hits (12).

Winkler Leads the Way
•    Madison Winkler is Southeast Missouri's top hitter 13 games into the 2026 season.
•    Winkler is hitting .390 with four runs scored, a triple, home run, four RBI and four walks. She has started every game in center field.
