DEKALB, Ill. – Southeast Missouri Gymnastics won its third-straight meet on Friday night at the Northern Illinois Tri-Meet turning in a 193.900 to capture first place at the NIU Convocation Center.
The Gymhawks edged out the host Northern Illinois and Wilberforce who scored a 191.700 and 180.775, respectively, on Friday evening.
Senior
Taylor Ingle led the flock with a 39.100 all-around score in her 22
nd-striaght all-around competition as she scored a 9.700 on bars (T-3), 9.775 on beam (4
th), 9.800 on floor (T-1), and 9.825 on vault (T-1) to round out her night.
Bars
- The Gymhawks began the evening on bars, turning in a team score of 48.200 after rotation one.
- Senior Taylor Ingle led the way with a 9.700
- Junior Ava Johnston and sophomore Gracie Jones each recorded a 9.675
- Junior Amelia May rounded out the top scorers with a 9.600
Beam
- The Gymhawks took their 48.200 to the beam in rotation two led by junior Jaidan Kossuth who scored a season-high 9.875 in spot six.
- Leah Parton scored her third-straight 9.800 or higher with a 9.800 in spot five
- Ingle scored a 9.775 following a 9.750 from Jordan Napolitano in spot three.
- The Gymhawks closed the rotation with four scores of 9.750 or higher.
- SEMO scored its third-highest beam score of the season with a 48.900.
Floor
- The Gymhawks turned to the floor for rotation three with a 97.100 running score and scored a 48.150 led by Taylor Ingle's 9.800
- Jaidan Kossuth scored the second highest on the floor with a 9.700.
- Leah Parton and Reagan Sams scored a 9.650 and 9.600, respectively, to round out the top scorers from the floor
Vault
- The Gymhawks scored their second-highest rotation score of the night on the vault, turning in a 48.650 as all six Gymhawks scored a 9.650 or higher
- Taylor Ingle captured the event title on the vault with a 9.825 in the sixth and final spot
- Senior Kailyn Hamilton started the vault off with a season-high 9.725
Looking Ahead
SEMO Gymnastics will host Long Island for the final home meet of the season in Cape Girardeau. Competition is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m., CT. from Houck Field House.
