Redhawks Travel to Razorback Invitational
•    Southeast Missouri (3-6) heads to the Razorback Invitational this weekend.
•    SEMO will play five games at the three-team event hosted by the #7 Arkansas.
•    The Redhawks play Big Ten Conference member Northwestern twice (Feb. 20, Feb. 21) and SEC foe #7 Arkansas three times (Feb. 20, Feb. 21, Feb. 22).
•    SEMO faces Northwestern at 11 a.m. and #7 Arkansas at 1:30 p.m., CT during the opening day of the tournament Friday.

Experience Overload
•    There is a total of 48 years of head coaching experience at their respective institutions between Arkansas Head Coach Courtney Deifel, Northwestern Head Coach Katie Drohan and Southeast Missouri Head Coach Mark Redburn.
•    Combined, the trio has won 1,477 games.
•    Deifel is in her 11th year at Arkansas, Drohan is in her 25th season at Northwestern and Redburn is in his 12th year at SEMO.

Series Records
•    Southeast Missouri is 2-13 all-time against Arkansas and 1-1 against Northwestern.
•    SEMO last faced the Razorbacks at the 2024 NCAA Softball Regional in Fayetteville, Arkansas on May 17, 2024. Arkansas edged the Redhawks, 3-2, in that contest.
•    The Redhawks' last win over Arkansas was a 6-1 victory in Fayetteville on Feb. 22, 2019. 
•    The Razorbacks were ranked 12th in the nation at that time. It was Mark Redburn's first win over a ranked opponent as SEMO's head coach.
•    Since then, Arkansas won each of the last seven matchups between the teams.
•    SEMO last played Northwestern in a doubleheader in Cape Girardeau on Mar. 23, 1998.
•    The Wildcats took game one, 6-2, and the Redhawks won the nightcap by a score of 3-1.

Tournament Play
•    As has been the case in years past, Southeast Missouri is spending its first several weeks of the season outside of Cape Girardeau.
•    SEMO plays its first 20 games across four different tournaments in four different states.
•    The Redhawks opened the season at the Southern Mississippi Black & Gold Challenge (Feb. 6-8) and competed at the East Texas A&M Lion Invitational (Feb. 12-14) thus far.
•    After this week's trip to the Razorback Invitational,  the Redhawks head to Stillwater/Tulsa, Oklahoma for their final tournament on Feb. 27-Mar. 1.

Lion Invitational Recap
•    Southeast Missouri won three of its four games at the East Texas A&M Lion Invitational (Feb. 12-14).
•    SEMO picked up wins over East Texas A&M (7-4), Jackson State (9-6) and Marist (7-6).
•    The Redhawks had 11 or more hits in all three of their victories.
•    Brooklyn Saysoff (.455), Addisyn Martinie (.455), Madison Winkler (.438) and Lilly Blagoue (.571) a.. hit .438 or better in four games played at the tournament.

300 Wins in Sight
•    Mark Redburn is four wins away from reaching 300 as Southeast Missouri's head coach.
•    Redburn took over the helm in 2015 and has a record of 296-236 during his SEMO tenure.
•    Combined, Redburn has 386 victories between his NCAA Division I coaching stops at SEMO (296) and Evansville (90).

Against the SEC
•    The Redhawks are 15-74 all-time against the SEC. 
•    Southeast Missouri has played Arkansas (2-13), Auburn (0-5), Kentucky (2-2), Mississippi State (1-7), Missouri (7-34), Texas A&M (0-1), LSU (0-1), Ole Miss (3-10) and Tennessee (0-2). 
•    Head Coach Mark Redburn has upended a SEC foe four times as SEMO's head coach.
•    The Redhawks upset then-#11 Missouri in Columbia on Apr. 3, 2024 (1-0), then-#12 Arkansas in Fayetteville on Feb. 22, 2019 (6-1), Ole Miss in Oxford, Mississippi on Mar. 5, 2023 (1-0) and Missouri at home on Mar. 21, 2018 (8-2).

Against the Big Ten
•    Southeast Missouri is 5-8 all-time against Big Ten Conference schools.
•    SEMO has played Indiana (1-1), Iowa (2-0), Maryland (1-1), Nebraska (0-2), Northwestern (1-1), Ohio State (0-1) and Wisconsin (0-2) out of the Big Ten.
•    The Redhawks last win over a Big Ten opponent was a 4-3 victory over Iowa in Kansas City, Missouri on Mar. 15, 2022.
•    Northwestern is one of two Big Ten teams on SEMO's schedule this season. 
•    The Redhawks will also play at Illinois on Apr. 15.

History vs. Ranked Teams
•    Southeast Missouri has two wins over ranked opponents in its NCAA Division I era and both were against SEC teams and belong to Mark Redburn.
•    SEMO took down then-#11 Missouri in Columbia, 1-0, on Apr. 3, 2024 and then-#12 Arkansas, 6-1, at the Razorback Invitational on Feb. 22, 2019.
•    The Redhawks are 2-25 all-time against ranked teams since their program turned NCAA Division I in 1992.
•    #11 Missouri was the highest ranked opponent SEMO beat in program history during the 2024 campaign.

Blagoue Delivers Walk-Off Hit
•    Fresham Lilly Blagoue went 4-for-5 with a run scored and a two-out walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Southeast Missouri a 7-6 win over Marist (Feb. 14).
•    Blagoue singled through the right side to score Kamden Hutton for the game-winner.
•    She also had two RBI and hit her first career home run against the Red Foxes.

When Hutton Calls, You Listen
•    Infielder Kamden Hutton, who transferred to Southeast Missouri from Vernon College, is off to a strong start this 2026 season.
•    Hutton has been in the starting lineup eight-straight games and hit safely in eight of her first nine contests played with the Redhawks.
•    She carries a six-game hitting streak into this weekend's Razorback Invitational.
•    Hutton is currently second on the team with a .391 batting average.

Winkler Leads the Way
•    Madison Winkler is Southeast Missouri's top hitter nine games into the 2026 season.
•    Winkler is hitting .419 with three runs scored, a triple, four RBI and a walk. She has started every game in center field.
•    She has reached base in 16-straight games dating back to May 4, 2025.
•    Winkler ranks 16th in the Ohio Valley Conference in batting average.

Saysoff Gets First Career Win
•    Booklyn Saysoff picked up her first career win in the circle vs. Jackson State (Feb. 13).
•    Saysoff worked 4.2 relief innings allowing one run on five hits and striking out two.
•    She made her first career pitching appearance vs. Louisiana Tech (Feb. 7).
•    Pitcher is the fourth different position Saysoff has played in her career with the Redhawks.
•    Prior to this year, she started 11 games at shortstop, 53 at third base and 11 at second base.

Homer Time 
•    Four different Southeast Missouri players have hit a home run through nine games this season.
•    Gracie Luna hit the first home run of the season when she belted a two-run smash over the left field wall at Southern Mississippi (Feb. 8).
•    Raigan Brannon hit her first career home run vs. Jackson State (Feb. 13), Addisyn Martinie finished with her first career round-tripper vs. Grambling State (Feb. 12) and Lilly Blagoue had her first career bomb vs. Marist (Feb. 14).

Double-Digit Hits
•    Southeast Missouri finished with 11 or more hits in three of its last four games.
•    SEMO pounded out a season-high 12 vs. Marist (Feb. 14) and had 11 against both East Texas A&M (Feb. 12) and Jackson State (Feb. 13).

About Arkansas
•    #7 Arkansas is 8-1 this season and brings a six-game winning streak to its own Razorback Invitational this weekend.
•    This weekend marks the first time the Razorbacks play at home this year.
•    Robyn Herron and Ella McDowell were selected to the SEC's Preseason All-Conference Team.
•    Herron was named this week's Division I Wilson/NFCA National Pitcher of the Week.
•    She recorded 15 strikeouts in 6.2 innings accounting for all but five outs. Herron fanned 11 in a one-hit five-inning shutout of previously #18 Clemson.

About Northwestern
•    Northwestern is off to a 4-6 start this 2026 season.
•    Infielder Kaylie Avvisato and Kansas Robinson, and outfielder Kelsey Nader are among the Big Ten's Players to Watch.
•    Nader and Avvisato are second and third on the team hitting .355 and .321, respectively.
•    The Wildcats have made the NCAA Tournament each of the last seven years and a total of 23 times in their program history.
