Redhawks Face Lindenwood Saturday
•    Southeast Missouri (15-11, 10-5) stays on the road to face in-state rival Lindenwood (16-10, 10-5) Saturday. Tip-off is set for 3:30 p.m., CT at Hyland Arena.
•    Saturday is the second of four-straight road games for the Redhawks, their longest road stretch of the season.
•    SEMO will turn around quickly to play Ohio Valley Conference leader UT Martin (Feb. 17) before closing out its lengthy road trip at Little Rock (Feb. 21).
•    The Redhawks are on the road for three of their final five games of the regular-season.

Series Notes
•    Saturday will be the 11th meeting between Southeast Missouri and Lindenwood, schools located a little over two miles apart.
•    The series stands tied at 5-5.
•    Four of SEMO's five wins over the Lions came at the Show Me Center.
•    LU won each of the last two games of the series, including an 88-76 victory in Cape Girardeau on Jan. 15.
•    SEMO and LU are the only Division I schools in Missouri that are conference rivals.

Happy Valentine's Day
•    The Redhawks play on Valentine's Day for the first time with Brad Korn as their head coach.
•    This year marks the 10th time Southeast Missouri plays on Valentine's Day during its NCAA Division I era.
•    SEMO is 2-7 in such contests.

Six of Seven
•    The Redhawks won six of their last seven games.
•    Southeast Missouri saw its season-long six-game winning streak end at SIU Edwardsville (Feb. 12).
•    SEMO upended OVC leader UT Martin, 66-50, on Jan. 20 and second-place Little Rock, 70-65, on Jan. 22.
•    The Redhawks snapped UTM's seven-game winning streak and ended LR's four-game winning streak.
•    SEMO followed that up by handing Western Illinois its 11th-straight loss with a score of 78-74 on Jan. 29 and took down Eastern Illinois, 77-59, on Jan. 31.
•    The Redhawks then beat Morehead State, 82-70, on Feb. 5 and Southern Indiana, 90-65, on Feb. 7 for their other victories.

Korn vs. Lindenwood
•    Brad Korn is 3-5 all-time against Lindenwood.
•    Korn (0-3) has not beaten the Lions at Hyland Arena.
•    Southeast Missouri dropped all three games in St. Charles with Korn at the helm by four or less points.
•    SEMO fell to the Lions, 105-102, in double overtime (Feb. 23, 2023), 58-54 (Jan. 30, 2024) and, 72-68 (Jan. 23, 2025) in those matchups.

Last Time vs. Lindenwood
•    Southeast Missouri scored 58 points in the second half, but it wasn't enough in an 88-76 loss to Lindenwood on Jan. 15 at the Show Me Center.
•    SEMO and LU locked up in a nationally televised ESPNU matchup, the first of the Ohio Valley Conference's linear TV package this season.
 •    The Redhawks trailed by 31 (53-22) with 17:09 left to play but made a big push down the stretch to get within single digits.
•    SEMO outscored LU, 58-43, in the second half.
•    The Lions put the Redhawks in a big hole early in the game after scoring on 12 of their first 14 possessions of the game.
•    LU used a 22-2 run to take a 26-7 lead.

Ward Clears 100 Assists
•    Point guard BJ Ward went over 100 assists this season at SIU Edwardsville (Feb. 12).
•    Ward has 101 assists in 26 starts this season.
•    He had a total of 15 assists to only two turnovers combined in games at Western Illinois (Jan. 29) and Eastern Illinois (Jan. 31).
•    SEMO has had a player get 100 or more assists in a season three-straight years.
•    Ward, Phillip Russell (174, 2022-23) and Rob Martin (108, 2023-24; 147, 2024-25) reached that mark in those seasons.

Redhawks Go Cold in Second Half at SIUE
•    It was a tale of two halves for Southeast Missouri in its 74-56 setback at SIU Edwardsville (Feb. 12).
•    SEMO heated up to shoot 52.9 percent from 3-point range in the game's opening 20 minutes burying 9-of-17 threes along the way.
•    The second half, however, was a different story.
•    SEMO fell into a cold spell shooting only 18 percent (4-of-22) from the field. 
•    Meanwhile, the Cougars capitalized, outscoring the Redhawks, 40-16, in the second stanza to come away with the win.
•    SIUE swept the home-and-home series between the teams this season.

Ward Drops in 20 at SIU Edwardsville
•    BJ Ward scored 18 first-half points and finished with a team-high 20 at SIU Edwardsville (Feb. 12).
•    Ward made four 3-pointers in the first half against the Cougars.
•    He shot 8-of-17 from the field, 4-of-8 from 3-point range and dished out two assists.
•    It was Ward's third 20-point game this season and fourth of his career.

About Lindenwood
•    Lindenwood won four of its last five games and enters Saturday's contest coming off a 75-74 win over Ohio Valley Conference leader UT Martin.
•    Mekhi Cooper made the game-winning shot with 4.5 seconds to sink the Skyhawks Thursday.
•    Two of LU's last three victories were by one point.
•    The Lions lead the OVC in field goal percentage (.467), blocks (119) and assists (400).
•    Anias Futrell and Jadis Jones are ranked among the league's top four scorers with 17.1 and 16.6 points per game, respectively.
•    Jones, from nearby New Madrid, Missouri, is shooting an OVC-best 62.7 percent from the field. 
•    Sikeston native Dontrez Williams is third on the team in scoring with 15.3 points per contest.
