CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri Gymnastics secured a pair of Midwest Independent Conference weekly award winners, the league announced on Wednesday morning.
Senior
Taylor Ingle took home MIC 'Gymnast of the Week' honors while
Jordan Napolitano was selected as the 'Coaches Choice Award' voted on by the league's head coaches.
Ingle had a dominating performance last Friday night at the SEMO Quad-Meet as she competed in her 20
th-straight all-around competition dating back to 2025. Ingle, a Coppell, Texas-native, finished the meet with an event title in the all-around with a season-high 39.150.
She recorded a trio of event title victories on vault with a 9.775, bars (9.825), and floor (9.875) to lead the Gymhawks. Her 9.875 on floor matched her season-high from this season as she has hit back-to-back 9.875s on the floor in two-straight meets.
For Ingle, the award marks her third of the season in just five weeks of the 2026 regular season competition.
Junior
Jordan Napolitano returned to the beam lineup for the first time this season after competing as an exhibitionist a week ago in Cape Girardeau. Napolitano, who battled injuries most of 2025, competed on the beam and recorded a 9.700 to finish tied for fifth place last Friday night.
Head coach
Ashley Lawson on Jordan: "Jordan has done a tremendous job of battling through injuries and getting herself back into our lineup on beam. She has persevered and show the true spirit of a collegiate gymnast and me, and her teammates could not be prouder of her. I was thrilled to hear she won this award; it's a true testament to her work."
Looking Ahead
The Gymhawks will be on the road on Valentine's Day, Saturday, February 14, as they face off in a dual with MIC-rival Illinois State. Competition is slated to begin at 6 p.m., CT. in Normal, Ill.
