Redhawks Finish Road Swing at Morehead State
•    Southeast Missouri (9-7, 4-1) closes out its road swing at Morehead State (7-9, 3-2) Saturday. Tip-off is set for 2:30 p.m., CT at Johnson Arena.
•    SEMO goes for its first two-game road sweep of the season after picking up an 84-76 win at Southern Indiana Thursday.
•    The Redhawks are currently 2-1 on the road in Ohio Valley Conference play this season.

Series Notes
•    Southeast Missouri and Morehead State meet for the 62nd time on the front end of this year's home-and-home series between the teams.
•    MSU holds a 39-22 lead in the all-time series.
•    SEMO came away with a big 80-51 victory the last time it faced the Eagles at Johnson Arena on Feb. 6, 2025.
•    That 29-point victory was the largest by an Ohio Valley Conference opponent at Johnson Arena since 2006.
•    The Redhawks have a chance to knock off MSU on its home court for the second-straight year.
•    If that happens, it will be the second time a Brad Korn coached team has accomplished that feat.

Redhawks at Johnson Arena
•    The Redhawks are 9-20 all-time against Morehead State at Ellis T. Johnson Arena.
•    Three of those victories belong to Head Coach Brad Korn.
•    Of Southeast Missouri's head coaches during the time SEMO has been a member of the Ohio Valley Conference, Brad Korn has beaten Morehead State three times in its own arena.
•    Korn's three victories in Morehead, Kentucky are second only to Gary Garner (4 wins, 1997-2006).

Redhawks in Four-Way Tie for First in the OVC
•    With its road win at Southern Indiana (Jan. 8), Southeast Missouri moved into a four-way tie for first in the Ohio Valley Conference standings.
•    SEMO, Lindenwood, UT Martin and Tennessee State are all sitting at 4-1.
•    The Redhawks (4), Skyhawks (4) and Tigers (3)   each carry winning streaks of three or more league victories into Saturday's action.

Happy New Year!
•    The Redhawks are off to their best January start under Head Coach Brad Korn.
•    Souheast Missouri is presently 3-0 since the turn of the New Year.
•    SEMO beat Eastern Illinois (Jan. 1) and Western Illinois (Jan. 3) at home and Southern Indiana (Jan. 8) on the road for its three January victories.
•    The Redhawks started the New Year with a win for the fifth time under Head Coach Brad Korn.
•    SEMO improved to 4-2 in its first game of the New Year with Korn at the helm.

Korn vs. Morehead State
•    Brad Korn is 4-8 against Morehead State as Southeast Missouri's head coach.
•    Three of Korn's four victories against the Eagles came in Morehead, Kentucky.
•    The other was when the Redhawks upended #1 MSU in the semifinals of the 2023 Ohio Valley Conference Tournament.
•    Korn does not have a win over the Eagles in Cape Girardeau (0-5).

Breakout Performance
•    Brendan Terry put together his best game of the season to date when he poured in a career-high 30 points off the bench to lead Southeast Missouri to its 84-76 win at  Southern Indiana (Jan. 8).
•    Terry, who scored 17 points in the first half, finished at 13-of-16 from the field. He also made two 3-pointers, grabbed a game-high eight rebounds, dished out two assists, had two blocks and two steals in 32 minutes.
•    He was averaging under nine points per game (8.7) prior to that effort. Now, Terry is at 10.1 points a game.

Nice OVC Start
•    Southeast Missouri is off to a 4-1 start in Ohio Valley Conference play.
•    After dropping its OVC opener at Tennessee Tech (Dec. 18), SEMO won four-straight with victories over Tennessee State (Dec. 20), Eastern Illinois (Jan. 1), Western Illinois (Jan. 3) and Southern Indiana (Jan. 8).
•    A win at Morehead State Saturday will give Brad Korn his best OVC start as SEMO's head coach.
•    The Redhawks opened league play at 4-1 for the second-straight year in 2025-26.

Four-Game Winning Streak
•    The Redhawks bring a season-long four-game winning streak to Morehead State Saturday.
•    Southeast Missouri recently posted its largest win of the year against an NCAA Division I foe with a 73-50 home victory over Western Illinois (Jan. 3).
•    SEMO is one of three OVC teams on a conference winning streak of three or more games.

Ward Perfect at Free Throw Line in OVC Play
•    BJ Ward has not missed a free throw in his first five Ohio Valley Conference starts.
•    Ward is a flawless 15-of-15 at the free throw line.
•    He has made 20 free throws in a row since his last miss with 3:11 in the second half at Northern Arizona (Nov. 26).

Last 25 OVC Games
•    Southeast Missouri has a record of 19-6 in its last 25 Ohio Valley Conference games dating back to the start of the 2024-25 season.
•    SEMO won 15 of its previous 18 matchups with OVC foes going back to its victory at Western Illinois on Jan. 25, 2025.

Red-Hot Redhawks
•    The Redhawks have won seven of their last eight games.
•    Southeast Missouri averaged 80 points per game and held its opponents under 70 (68.0) during that stretch.
•    The Redhawks held Western Illinois to just 50 points on Jan. 3. It was the lowest point total by an NCAA Division I opponent against SEMO this year.

Ward Closing in on 200 Assists
•    BJ Ward is five assists away from getting 200 in his career.
•    Ward ranks second in the Ohio Valley Conference with 66 assists through 16 starts this season.
•    Ward is averaging 4.1 per game and has dished out five or more assists in six of his starts.
•     He matched his career-high of seven assists three times this year, as well.
•    Ward went over 150 assists at Iowa (Nov. 18) and has 195 in his career.
•    He also ranks eighth in the league in assist/turnover ratio (1.65).

Korn Second Among SEMO's Division Head Coaches in Wins
•    With Southeast Missouri's 68-59 win over Eastern Illinois (Jan. 1), Brad Korn moved to second all-time among the school's head coaches in the program's Division I era.
•    Korn has won 83 games and surpassed Dickey Nutt (80, 2009-15) on that list.
•    Gary Garner (126, 1997-2006) has the most wins of any head coach in SEMO's Division I history.
•    Korn led SEMO to 21 wins in 2024-25, its second-most in a season since the Redhawks moved to the Division I level. 

Korn Secures 50th OVC Win
•    Brad Korn eanred his 50th career Ohio Valley Conference Jan. 8.
•    Korn is 50-48 all-time in OVC play with one OVC regular-season title (2024-25) and one tournament championship (2022-23).
•    Korn's 50 OVC wins rank second all-time behind Gary Garner (73) in SEMO's program history.
•    Presently, Korn is SEMO's only head coach with a winning career record in OVC play.

On the Road
•    Southeast Missouri looks to earn its third-straight road win when it travels to Morehead State.
•    SEMO's last road victories were at Tennessee State (91-82) on Dec. 20 and Southern Indiana (84-76) on Jan. 8..
•    The Redhawks are 3-5 in true road games and 2-1 on the road in Ohio Valley Conference play this year.

Stacker Leads OVC in Free Throw Percentage
•    Braxton Stacker leads the Ohio Valley Conference in free throw percentage.
•    Stacker has missed just seven free throws through 16 starts.
•    He is 44-of-51 for 86.3 percent.
•    Stacker did not miss a free throw with a minimum of four attempts in five games this year.
Over 80
•    The Redhawks scored over 80 points for the seventh time this season in their 84-76 win at Southern Indiana (Jan. 8).
•    Southeast Missouri's 91 points marked a season-high.
•    SEMO is 6-1 in games where it scores over 80 points.

Winning the Second Half
•    Southeast Missouri won the second half in eight of its last 10 games. 
•    The Redhawks outscored their opponent by double figures in the second half a total of four times in 2025-26.
•    SEMO is outscoring opponents, 653-603 (+50) in the second half this year.

Redhawks Top OVC in Field Goal Percentage
•    Southeast Missouri leads the Ohio Valley Conference in field goal percentage shooting 47.2 percent (459-of-972) this year.
•    SEMO shot a season-best 57.7 percent (30-of-52) from the field at Tennessee State (Dec. 20).
•    The Redhawks shot over 50 percent seven times this year.
•    SEMO also finished with a 51.6 percent (33-of-64) clip vs. Webster (Nov. 12), 51.5 percent (35-of-68) mark vs. St. Mary of the Woods (Dec. 2), 52 percent showing at Iowa (Nov. 18), 50.8 percent (31-of-61) mark vs. Saint Xavier (Dec. 14), 53.8 percent (28-of-52) clip vs. Western Illinois (Jan. 3) and 57.4 percent (31-of-54) mark at Southern Indiana (Jan. 8).

About Morehead State
•    Morehead State has won four of its last seven games is second behind the four teams tied for first in the Ohio Valley Conference standings.
•    MSU is 3-2 in OVC play and 4-1 at home this year. Its only home loss was to UT Martin (76-68) Thursday.
•    The Eagles are second in the league in assists with 14.7 per game.
•    Jon Carroll ranks second among league leaders with 3.3 offensive rebounds a game.
•    George Marshall is MSU's top scoring threat with an average of 12.1 points per contest.
