CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. –
Luke Almodovar scored a game-high 22 points and drained six 3-pointers as Southeast Missouri (10-10, 5-4) led wire-to-wire in a dominating 66-50 victory over Ohio Valley Conference leader UT Martin (15-5, 7-2) Tuesday night.
SEMO ended UTM's seven-game winning streak and handed the Skyhawks their first OVC loss since the opening of the conference season on Dec. 18 (at Tennessee State).
The Redhawks created all sorts of havoc for UTM from the get-go.
SEMO stormed out to a 20-2 lead behind four 3-pointers from Almodovar. He drained his first trey just 19 seconds into the contest.
Brendan Terry's tip-in off a missed layup by

Almodovar nailed a 3-pointer on back-to-back possessions before Bell scored a second-chance layup to extend the Redhawks lead to 18 (20-2) with 13:39 to go.
Moments after UTM pulled within 10, Almodovar snapped a streak of nine-straight missed field goals by SEMO with his fifth 3-pointer of the half. The Redhawks later led, 40-20, at the intermission for their largest halftime lead in OVC play this year.
Almodovar scored 17 points in 11 minutes to set the tone for SEMO in the first half.
The Redhawks continued to have their way with the Skyhawks in the second half.
Ahead, 40-23,
Braxton Stacker scored 10 points during a 14-2 SEMO run that buried UTM for good.
Stacker nailed a pair of 3-pointers in that stretch with his second running the Redhawks lead to 54-25 with 14:02 to play.
Troy Cole, Jr.'s layup on his team's ensuing possession widened SEMO's margin to 31 and UTM never recovered.
Almodovar shot 8-of-13 from the field and 6-of-10 from 3-point range. It was his sixth-straight double-digit scoring game.
Stacker followed with 14 points, while Terry added eight points and eight rebounds.
SEMO finished with a season-high 11 three-pointers and held UTM to a season-low 50 points. The Redhawks also forced a season-best 21 turnovers and scored 23 points off those miscues.
