Rivalry Game

•   Southeast Missouri won its first three games in January and is presently 3-1 since the turn of the New Year.
•   SEMO beat Eastern Illinois (Jan. 1) and Western Illinois (Jan. 3) at home and Southern Indiana (Jan. 8) on the road for its three January victories. Its first January loss came at Morehead State (Jan. 10).
•   The 3-0 start was SEMO's best in January under Head Coach Brad Korn.
•   The Redhawks started the New Year with a win for the fifth time with Korn at the helm.
•   SEMO improved to 4-2 in its first game of the New Year with Korn at the helm.
Redhawks on ESPNU
•   This year marks the sixth time Southeast Missouri plays on ESPNU since the 2012-13 season.
•   SEMO last played a game televised on ESPNU at home vs. Morehead State on Jan. 27, 2022. The Eagles won that game by a score of 74-73 in overtime.
•   The Redhawks last won a game on ESPNU when they beat Austin Peay in a 121-116 triple overtime thriller on Jan. 29, 2008.
•   That game was played in Cape Girardeau and the combined 237 points are a Show Me Center record.
Korn vs. Lindenwood
•   Brad Korn is 3-4 against Lindenwood as Southeast Missouri's head coach.
•   Korn's teams beat the Lions at the Show Me Center twice. His other win over Lindenwood was in the first round of the 2023 Ohio Valley Conference Tournament.
•   Korn has not defeated Lindenwood in St. Charles during his career. He is 0-3 in those matchups.
Building Momentum
•   The Redhawks have won seven of their last nine games.
•   Southeast Missouri recently saw a season-long four-game winning streak end with a 71-69 loss at Morehead State (Jan. 10).
•   SEMO posted its largest win of the season against an NCAA Division I foe the last time it played at home on Jan. 3. The Redhawks defeated Western Illinois, 73-50, in that game.

•   Southeast Missouri is off to a 4-2 start in Ohio Valley Conference play.
•   After dropping its OVC opener at Tennessee Tech (Dec. 18), SEMO won four-straight with victories over Tennessee State (Dec. 20), Eastern Illinois (Jan. 1), Western Illinois (Jan. 3) and Southern Indiana (Jan. 8).
•   SEMO then dropped a close 71-69 decision at Morehead State (Jan. 10).
•   The Redhawks opened league play at 4-1 for the second-straight year before their loss to Morehead State (Jan. 10).
Season Low in Turnovers
•   Southeast Missouri had a season-low five turnovers at Morehead State (Jan. 10).
•   SEMO went the first 28:09 of that game without a turnover.Â
•   The Redhawks are the second Ohio Valley Conference team to finish a game with only five turnovers this season.
•   SIUE also had five turnovers vs. Western Michigan (Dec. 6).
Breakout Performance
•   Brendan Terry put together his best game of the season to date when he poured in a career-high 30 points off the bench to lead Southeast Missouri to its 84-76 win at Southern Indiana (Jan. 8).
•   Terry, who scored 17 points in the first half, finished at 13-of-16 from the field. He also made two 3-pointers, grabbed a game-high eight rebounds, dished out two assists, had two blocks and two steals in 32 minutes.
•   He followed that up with a team-high 13 points at Morehead State (Jan. 10) two days later.
•   Terry was averaging under nine points before the Southern Indiana game on Jan. 8. Now, he is SEMO's fourth-leading scorer with 10.3 points per game.
Ward Perfect at Free Throw Line in OVC Play
•   BJ Ward has not missed a free throw in his first six Ohio Valley Conference starts.
•   Ward is a flawless 19-of-19 at the free throw line.
•   He has made 24 free throws in a row since his last miss with 3:11 in the second half at Northern Arizona (Nov. 26).
•   Ward is Southeast Missouri's top free throw shooter at 87.8 percent (36-of-41) this season.
Last 26 OVC Games
•   Southeast Missouri has a record of 19-7 in its last 26 Ohio Valley Conference games dating back to the start of the 2024-25 season.
•   SEMO won 15 of its previous 19 matchups with OVC foes going back to its victory at Western Illinois on Jan. 25, 2025.
Ward Closing in on 200 Assists
•   BJ Ward is just one assist away from getting 200 in his career.
•   Ward ranks second in the Ohio Valley Conference with 70 assists through 17 starts this season.
•   Ward is averaging 4.1 per game and has dished out five or more assists in six of his starts.
•    He matched his career-high of seven assists three times this year, as well.
•   Ward went over 150 assists at Iowa (Nov. 18) and has 199 in his career.

Korn Second Among SEMO's Division IÂ Head Coaches in Wins
•   With Southeast Missouri's 68-59 win over Eastern Illinois (Jan. 1), Brad Korn moved to second all-time among the school's head coaches in the program's Division I era.
•   Korn has won 83 games and surpassed Dickey Nutt (80, 2009-15) on that list.
•   Gary Garner (126, 1997-2006) has the most wins of any head coach in SEMO's Division I history.
•   Korn led SEMO to 21 wins in 2024-25, its second-most in a season since the Redhawks moved to the Division I level.Â
You Got Mossed!
•   Landren Blocker's posterizing dunk over Eastern Illinois' Kooper Jacobi was featured as the top play during NFL Sunday Countdown's You Got Mossed on Jan. 4.
•   It was the first time SEMO basketball landed on the You Got Mossed segment.
•   That play earned Blocker a pair of receiving gloves from legendary wide receiver Randy Moss.
•   Blocker leads the team with 13 dunks this season.
Korn Secures 50th OVC Win
•   Brad Korn eanred his 50th career Ohio Valley Conference win when Southeast Missouri took down Southern Indiana, 84-76, on Jan. 8.
•   Korn is 50-49 all-time in OVC play with one OVC regular-season title (2024-25) and one tournament championship (2022-23).
•   Korn's 50 OVC wins rank second all-time behind Gary Garner (73) in SEMO's program history.
•   Presently, Korn is SEMO's only head coach with a winning career record in OVC play.
