Athletics Celebrates Another Outstanding Spring Semester

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – For a record third-straight semester, all 13 of Southeast Missouri's athletic teams finished with above a 3.0 grade point average.
SEMO Athletics concluded its 2024-25 academic year with a 3.44 GPA for its 16th consecutive semester with a departmental GPA above 3.0. The 3.44 spring mark is tied for the second-highest GPA in Redhawk athletics history.
Volleyball (3.83) and women's track & field (3.76) established their highest GPA during any semester in their program's histories.
Meanwhile, the women's cross country team posted a 3.85 spring GPA and the baseball team accumulated a 3.46 GPA for their second-highest marks in their respective program's histories. Baseball also claimed its highest spring semester GPA ever.
In all, 113 student-athletes made SEMO's Dean's List, 61 earned a spot on the University's President's List and 82 finished with a 4.0 GPA in the Spring 2025 semester. Additionally, 63 student-athletes graduated in the spring.
