SHREVEPORT, La. - Southeast Missouri Gymnastics finished with a season best score of 195.025 during the WGCNICteam final Saturday night at the Gold Dome.
The Gymhawks finished in second place ahead of Bridgeport (193.600) and West Chester (190.850) right. Texas Woman's University finished first with a score of 196.175.
Taylor Ingle placed first in the All-Around competition with a score of 39.250. Overall Ingle got first on the vault (9.850), fifth on the bars (9.800), seven on the beam (9.800), and second on the floor (9.800).
The Redhawks finished the meet with four season highs, one from
Kailyn Hamilton,
Ava Johnston,
Jaidan Kossuth, and
Nyah Reader. Hamilton and Ingle posted the Redhawks highest scores of the night with a 9.850.
Uneven Bars
The Gymhawks started their last meet of the season on the Uneven bars. They ended their first rotation with a bang, scoring 48.825 overall.
Sydney Crouch started the nights off with a 9.650 in spot one.
Kailyn Hamilton followed up Crouch with a season high of 9.850.
Gracie Jones, in spot three, recorded a 9.700. The Redhawks then posted two 9.800 scores in the fourth and fifth spots,
Ava Johnston and
Taylor Ingle. The 9.800 was a season high for Johnston.
Joselene Hernandez rounded out the Gymhawks on the uneven bars scoring a 9.600.
Balance Beam
Rotation two was the balance beam for the Redhawks and they recorded a 48.725, ending with a total score of 97.550 after two rotations.
Nyah Reader started the Redhawks off with a bang on the beam. Reader scored a 9.750 in spot one.
Jordan Napolitano in spot two scores the same as Reader, a 9.750.
Ailey Kuehn scored a 9.500 going third.
9.625 for
Leah Parton in spot four. To end rotation two,
Jaidan Kossuth and
Taylor Ingle ended with scores of 9.800 to tie for the best on the beam for the Gymhawks.
Floor Exercise
SEMO recorded a 48.750 for their third rotation.
Taylor Ingle led the Redhawks going in spot six with a 9.800. SEMO ended rotation three with an overall score of 146.300.
There were three 9.725 scores for SEMO on the floor.
Kailyn Hamilton and Anna Lee Phillps started Southeast Missouri off with a 9.725. Then in spot four
Leah Parton scored a 9.725.
Sydney Crouch going third registered a 9.675. The senior
Madison Greene in spot five recorded a 9.775.
The Vault
The Gymhawks ended their night scoring a 48.725 on the vault.
Taylor Ingle led the team again tying her season high with a 9.850 in the last spot.
Jaidan Kossuth begins the Redhawks night on the bars with a season high score of 9.700.
Nyah Reader followed suit with another season high, 9.650 for her.
Ailey Kuehn also scored a 9.700 but in spot four.
Joselene Hernandez recorded a 9.750 in spot three and
Madison Greene finished with a score right behind her at 9.725.
The Redhawks will compete at the WCGNIC Individual Event Finals tomorrow at 1 p.m., CT.
