Gymhawks Hit Road for Central Michigan Tri-Meet
Southeast Missouri Gymnastics will be on the road for their seventh meet of the season this week on Thursday, February 6, at the Central Michigan Tri-Meet. Competition is slated to begin at 5:00 p.m., CT. from McGuirk Arena in Mount Pleasant, Mich.Â

Who's There?Â
The Gymhawks will square off with Mid-American Conference (MAC) member Central Michigan and NCAA Division III member Wisconsin-Oshkosh. SEMO has faced off with Central Michigan earlier this season at the Bowling Green Tri-Meet resulting in a 195.600-192.375 CMU victory.Â

History
After the matchup earlier this season, SEMO fell to 2-6 all time against the Chippewas and are 0-3 on the season against MAC schools. In contrast, the meeting with Oshkosh marks the 15
th time the programs have faced one another in gymnastics. The Gymhawks are 14-0 all-time against the Titans.Â

Last Time Out
The Gymhawks were last in action last Friday night (Jan. 31) against fellow Midwest Independent Conference member Illinois State inside Houck Field House. SEMO set a new season-high team score of 193.750.  Illinois State recorded a 194.875 to win the dual meet.Â

Season-Highs
Seven Gymhawks recorded a new season-high last Friday night helping SEMO record their highest team score of the season. Sophomore
Ava Johnston and freshman
Gracie Jones turned in season-highs on the bars with a pair of 9.775s from spot three and five, respectively, in the bars lineup.Â

Nyah Reader recorded a new season best with a 9.775 on the beam leading the Redhawks to their second highest rotation score of the evening. Junior
Ailey Kuehn followed suit, turning in a 9.725 to surpass her previous best this season.Â

Kailyn Hamilton tied her highest floor score of the season with a 9.775 in spot three of the floor rotation while freshman
Anna Lee Phillips recorded her best in the leadoff spot with a 9.775.Â

Newcomer
Jaidan Kossuth turned in an impressive 9.850 on the beam for her highest score, winning the beam rotation for the entire meet. Kossuth set a new season-high from spot five.Â

Newcomer
Jaidan Kossuth, who joined the Redhawks this season, has featured on the beam for the Gymhawks in all six meets so far this season. Over her last four routines, Kossuth has turned in four scores of 9.700 or higher. Her previous best was a 9.775 at Centenary (1/20) until she recorded a 9.850 in the first home meet of the season last Friday (1/31).Â

Junior
Sydney Crouch has featured primarily on the floor for the Gymhawks this season, competing in all six meets on the floor. She has a season-high of 9.775 from the Texas Woman's meet (1/17) and narrowly missed her best score of the season on Friday night with a 9.700 against Illinois State (1/31).Â

Four in a Row
Sophomore
Ava Johnston, who was a Second Team All-MIC Bars selection in 2024, has now competed on the bars in four-straight meets for the Gymhawks. Johnston has recorded three-out-of-four scores of 9.700 or higher including a new season-high 9.775 last Friday versus Illinois State.Â

Ingle Shines
Junior
Taylor Ingle competed in the all-around once again for the Gymhawks on Friday night turning in a 38.150 over all four events, earning second place overall at the meet. She recorded a 9.800 or better on both the vault and floor with a 9.800 and 9.825, respectively. Her season-high in the all-around came at the Bowling Green Tri-Meet (1/26) with a 39.150.Â
