Gymhawks Compete Friday at Metroplex Challenge in Texas
Southeast Missouri Gymnastics will head to Fort Worth, Texas on Friday, February 21, to compete in the Metroplex Challenge from the Fort Worth Convention Center. The Gymhawks will face off with three P4 squads in Oregon State (PAC 12), Arkansas (SEC), and Arizona (Big 12). The competition is slated to begin at 7 p.m., CT.Â

The meet features three teams that are in the top-20 according toÂ
Road to Nationals . Oregon State enters the meet with the highest ranking at No. 10 in the country. Arkansas and Arizona round out the competition ranked 14
th and 19
th, respectively.Â

Last Time Out
The Gymhawks were most recently in action last Friday, February 14, in the SEMO Tri-Meet marking the second home meet of the season. SEMO achieved a 193.875 setting a new season-high marking the second-straight meet at home with a season-high team score. Junior
Taylor Ingle won the all-around for the meet with a. 39.100 over Centenary's Sophie Schmitz and Northern Illinois' Kiera O'Shea.Â

Best Beam
In Friday's meet, the Gymhawks achieved their highest beam score of the season with a 48.800 which was the highest rotation score on the evening. Sophomore
Leah Parton led the way with a 9.800 as SEMO now ranks 58
th in the country on the beam.Â

Jordan Napolitano achieved her season-high on the beam on Friday night with a 9.775. Primarily competing on the vault and beam, Napolitano has returned to the lineup for the Gymhawks after missing the beginning of the season with an injury. She passed her previous season-high of 9.550 with a 9.775 for the second highest score on the rotation for SEMO.Â

Taylor Ingle has been a standout on the floor routine this season for the Gymhawks, most recently turning in a 9.850 for her second highest score of the season on the floor. This year, Ingle has scored a 9.750 or higher on each floor routine with her season best coming at Texas Woman's with a 9.875.Â

Anna Lee Phillips has been inserted into the floor lineup since January 17 at TWU and has thrived in her role turning in a season-high 9.800 last Friday night. Phillips has three scores of 9.625 or higher and has been solid at Houck Field House with scores of 9.775 and her most recent best in two meets.Â

Nyah Reader had her third best performance of the season on the beam last Friday at the SEMO Tri-Meet. The Rexford, New York-native scored a 9.725 as she now has three scores of 9.725 or higher on the season. Her best came against Illinois State (1/31) with a 9.775.Â

SEMO Gymnastics enters the Metroplex Challenge ranked 55

Junior
Sydney Crouch has featured mainly on the bars and floor for the Gymhawks this season. Through eight meets, Crouch has scored season-highs on the bars (9.750) and 9.775 on the floor. Most recently, she achieved a 9.550 and 9.625 on the bars and floor, respectively.Â
