Redhawks Drop OVC Opener Thursday at Tennessee Tech

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — Southeast Missouri (3-6, 0-1 OVC) fell to Tennessee Tech (8-2, 1-0 OVC), 79-66, despite outscoring the Golden Eagles 42-26 in the paint. Tennessee Tech's advantage was solidified with 11 three-pointers and a 58-34 rebounding edge, securing their victory at Eblen Center.

First Quarter
- Lexi McCully recorded the first points for the Redhawks with a layup after an offensive rebound.
- Tennessee Tech's Cam Mathews contributed early, converting free throws and a layup to keep the score tight.
- Southeast Mo. St. saw Ainaya Williams score twice in the paint, with assists from Raissa Nsabua.
