Redhawks Face Missouri Friday
•    Southeast Missouri (0-1) remains in the Show Me State to face SEC member Missouri (1-0) Friday. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m., CT at Mizzou Arena.
•    Friday's game will air live on SEC Network+ with Max Thoma and Jarrett Sutton on the call.
•    SEMO is on the road for its second-straight game in 2025-26. 
•    The Redhawks opened the year with a 92-67 loss at Saint Louis (Nov. 3).

Series Notes
•    The Redhawks hook up with in-state foe Missouri for the 10th time in 2024-25.
•    Mizzou holds a 9-0 lead in the all-time series.
•    All nine of those wins against SEMO came in Columbia.
•    The teams last met on Dec. 4, 2022 with the Tigers picking up a 96-89 victory.
•    The 89 points were the most SEMO scored in a game against Mizzou that year. 

Against the SEC
•    Southeast Missouri is 0-23 all-time against the current Southeastern Conference membership.
•    SEMO did beat Arkansas in 1924-25 (28-21), but Arkansas was not in the SEC at that time.
•    The Redhawks series records against current SEC teams are as follows: 1-8 vs. Arkansas, 0-1 vs. LSU, 0-2 vs. Ole Miss, 0-9 vs. Missouri and 0-3 vs. Vanderbilt.
•    SEMO's last game against a SEC opponent was at Vanderbilt (L, 76-85) on Nov. 10, 2024.

Power Four Schools
•    Southeastern Conference member Missouri is one of two Power Four schools on Southeast Missouri's schedule this season.
•    SEMO will also visit Big Ten Conference member Iowa on Nov. 18.
•    The Redhawks have never beaten an opponent from the SEC, Big Ten, ACC or Big 12.
•    Overall, SEMO is 0-50 all-time against such teams. 

Korn vs. Missouri
•    Brad Korn squares off against Missouri for the second time as head coach.
•    Korn was in his third season at the Southeast Missouri helm the last time the Redhawks played the Tigers on Dec. 4, 2022.
•    He has coached against three Power Four schools in his career, including Missouri (0-1), Iowa (0-1) and Vanderbilt (0-1).

Redhawks Drop Season-Opener
•    Southeast Missouri opened the 2025-26 campaign with a 92-67 loss at Atlantic 10 member Saint Louis (Nov. 3).
•    SEMO held a 19-9 advantage in points off turnovers but couldn't overcome SLU's 48 points in the paint and +25 margin (54-29) on the boards.
•    The Redhawks fell to 13-22 in season-opening games during their NCAA Division I era.
•    SEMO opened a season away from home for the 19th time in 20 years.
•    The Redhawks are now 3-3 in season-openers with Brad Korn as head coach.

Nice Homecoming for Ward
•    In his first time playing against Saint Louis in his career, St. Louis native BJ Ward led the Redhawks with 16 points on Nov. 3.
•    Ward shot 5-of-14 from the field, made two 3-pointers and hit 4-of-6 free throws. He also dished out three assists and added one steal in 32 minutes.
•    It was the 17th double-digit scoring game of his career.

SEMO Debuts
•    Five players, including PJ Farmer, Trace Sadler, Landren Blocker, Luke Almodovar and Jay Reynolds saw their first action in a Redhawk uniform at Saint Louis (Nov. 3).
•    Farmer, Sadler, Almodovar and Reynolds each played at the NCAA Division I level for the first time.
•    Blocker, a transfer from Louisiana Tech, led SEMO with seven rebounds.

Starting Streaks
•    Brendan Terry has not missed a start in his two-year career at Southeast Missouri.
•    Terry has started 34-consecutive games.
•    Troy Cole, Jr. started 16-straight games dating back to Jan. 16, 2025 and BJ Ward started 33-straight contests since Nov. 10, 2024.

Four Score Double Figures
•    BJ Ward, Brendan Terry, Braxton Stacker and Marqueas Bell each finished with double figures in the scoring column at Saint Louis (Nov. 3).
•    Ward scored 16 points, Terry followed with 13, Stacker added 12 and Bell chipped in 10.
•    Ward, Terry and Stacker each made their first starts of the season, while Bell played for the first time since Feb. 1, 2025 (knee injury). 

Former SEMO Head Coach
•    Dickey Nutt is in his fourth year as an assistant coach at Missouri.
•    Nutt spent six years as Southeast Missouri's head coach from 2009-15 before making stops at Florida State (2015-18), Stetson (2018-19), Cleveland State (2019-21) and Gaston College (2021-22).
•    Nutt has over 30 years of NCAA Division I coaching experience, including 19 as a head coach.
•    He was inducted into the Arkansas State Hall of Honor on Aug. 8. 

Season 119
•    The 2025-26 campaign is the 119th season in Southeast Missouri men's basketball history.
•    This year is SEMO's 35th as an NCAA Division I program and member of the Ohio Valley Conference.
•    The Redhawks are 406-575 since joining the Division I ranks in 1991-92.
•    SEMO has a total of 10 winning seasons as an NCAA Division I program.
•    The Redhawks won two OVC regular-season titles (1999-2000, 2024-25), two OVC Tournament crowns (1999-2000, 2022-23) and made two NCAA Tournament appearances (1999-2000, 2022-23).
•    Since Brad Korn took over as head coach in 2020-21, SEMO won its first OVC Tournament title in over two decades and first OVC regular-season championship in 25 years.

Non-Conference Games
•    Brad Korn is 28-39 in non-conference action.
•    Korn's best non-league record as Southeast Missouri's head coach stands at 9-9 in 2022-23, the season SEMO won its first OVC Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 23 years.
•    His other non-conference records include 2-5 in 2020-21, 6-9 in 2021-22, 5-8 in 2023-24 and 6-7 in 2024-25.

3-Pointer Streak
•    The Redhawks have made at least one 3-pointer in 523 consecutive games.
•    The last time Southeast Missouri did not make a 3-pointer was vs. Western Illinois (0-of-6) on Dec. 10, 2008.

Last 25 Games
•    Southeast Missouri went 18-7 in its last 25 games dating back to 2024-25.
•    The Redhawks won nine of their last 13 games of the 2024-25 season by double figures.

About Missouri
•    Missouri was picked seventh in the 2025-26 Southeastern Conference Predicted Order of Finish.
•    The Tigers are 1-0 after beating Howard, 88-67, on the road Monday.
•    Mark Mitchell is Mizzou earned Second-Team All-SEC honors a year ago. Mitchell scored nine points and pulled down six rebounds in this year's season-opener.
•    Shawn Phillips Jr. led the way with a double-double 16 points and 11 rebounds.
•    Dennis Gates is in his fourth year as Mizzou's head coach. The Tigers made the NCAA Tournament in 2024-25.
